Biblical Definitions – Unity

Unity comes only through Messiah and the New Covenant in Him (Psalm 50:5; Isaiah 49:3-9; Hebrews 2:11; 13:20-21; Jeremiah 50:5; Ephesians 2:15; Colossians 1:20; 2:1-11) and walking with Him (1John 1:3-7).

“Unity in the body of Christ does not rest on uniformity, but on our common ‘blood,’ which is the blood of Christ.  We are now members of one family, and that identity cannot be taken from us, no matter how much we disagree or quarrel.” (The Gospel in Human Contexts – Paul Hiebert pg 193)

Walking with Messiah as His disciple leads to truth (John 8:31-32; Isaiah 8:16).  This is seen in shadow picture form in the ‘cycles of righteousness’ (Psalm 23:3) of the calendarclick here.

The concept of being markedclick here in Scripture is linked with this walk.

The letter ת ‘tav’ in pictograph form is two crossed sticks which has the meaning of a covenant and being marked Ezekiel 9:4.  We can choose the covenant of Life in Messiah Yahshua (Isaiah 42:6; 49:8; Zechariah 9:11; Jeremiah 31:31; Matthew 26:28) or we can choose the covenant of death (Isaiah 28:15) which promises deliverance from death (ie false tree of life which is the tree of knowledge) but in reality leads to hell.  There is unity in both.  Unity in Messiah as His body & bride or unity in the beast as his body & bride.

Covenant relationship is linked with walking togetherClick Here. (Genesis 17:1-2; Amos 3:3; 1 Kings 8:23; 2 Kings 23:3; 2 Chronicles 6:14; 34:31; Psalm 78:10)

Amo 3:3 Will two walk together (Hebrew יחד  ‘yachad’– one, unity) except they are agreed?

The word translated as ‘agreed’ here is יעד  ‘ya’ad’ which is associated with appointed times and marriage.

Walking together in covenant with the Most High is equivalent to knowing His Wayclick here.  Knowing His Way is Knowing Him (Exodus 33:13).  Knowing Him is linked with unity (Ephesians 4:13; 1:17; Colossians 3:9-17; 2:2-3; 1 Timothy 2:4-7; 2 Peter 1:2-11, 20; 3:17-18; Philemon 1:6).  Marked in His Love, the bond of perfection (Matthew 22:37-40; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Romans 8:28-30, 37-39).

We can be marked with His mark/Name, walking in His ways (Romans 8:29; Ephesians 1:4) or marked with the mark of the beast and his paths (Proverbs 2:1-22; Psalm 17:4-5).  Remember that a defining trait of the beast is his desire to change the times of the Most High (Daniel 2:21).  A false unity is also linked with the beast (Daniel 11:23; 1 Maccabees 1:42; Joshua 9:2; 11:5; Judges 6:33; Nehemiah 4:8; 6:2,7; Psalm 31:13; 56:6; 71:10; 74:8; 83:5; 88:17; 41:7; 14:1-3).  As believers our only unity is in Messiah…one body.  We must avoid the temptation to join ‘the group’ at the expense of truth, as Messiah is Truth (John 14:6, 17; 16:13-14; Psalm 119:160; 2 Timothy 2:15; John 8:31-32; Exodus 23:2).

The main goal of unity is the preparation unto perfection of the bride to meet the Bridegroom (Matthew 5:48; Romans 12:2; 1 Corinthians 13:9-13; Ephesians 4:11-13; Philippians 3:14-15; Colossians 1:28; 3:14; 4:12; Romans 10:4; Psalm 119:1).  This is done through loveclick here (Colossians 3:14; 1 Corinthians 13:9-13; Romans 13:10; 1 John 4:10, 12, 16; 5:3).

Truth can not be overlooked in regards to the unity issue.  The strong delusion comes upon those who have not a love of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:11).  Those in this delusion are in unity with the beast (Psalm 2:1; Acts 4:26; Psalm 64:2; 83:3,5).  Ephesians 4 is the only portion of New Testament Scripture that uses the word unity, it is in this portion that Paul speaks of the edifying of the body of Messiah through the truth in love unto maturity (Philippians 3:7-21).  We cannot overlook the truth in order to have ‘unity’ with others who are not walking in truth (Exodus 23:2; 32:1; Proverbs 4:14).  The strong delusion comes upon those who worship God but not according to His ways (Isaiah 66:4; Psalm 81:11-12).

Unity is linked to the temple (Exodus 26:24; 36:29) and the worship done thereat which was a shadow picture pointing to Messiah (Hebrews 10:1; 8:5; 9:9; Colossians 2:17).  Messiah told the woman at the well that this temple worship is going to fade away and believers will be called to worship the Father in Spirit and Truth (John 4:21-24).  Again the importance of truth in regards to unity is seen.

The word for joining together (as in the joining together of the tabernacle to make it one) is the same word used for magic charmer.
Exo 36:13  And he made fifty hooks of gold; and he joined the curtains by the hooks, one to another. And the tabernacle became one.
Deu 18:11  or a magic charmer, or one consulting mediums, or a spirit-knower, or one inquiring of the dead.
חבר comes from the root חב which means the bosom and is linked to love and unity.  It is important that believers don’t turn away from truth for the sake of ‘love.’  Love does not negate truthclick here for Love is the Word which is Truthclick here.

True unity will come when Messiah returns and regathers us (Isaiah 52:8; Jeremiah 3:17-18; 31:8-13; 50:3-7; Micah 2:12)  where we will be resurrected into His Image (1 Corinthians 15:49; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Psalm 17:15; Romans 8:28-30; Galatians 3:26-29; Hebrews 13:21).  This is when believers will see ‘eye to eye’ (Isaiah 52:8).

Is it more important to be in ‘unity’ than to be correct?  The word for correct כון in Hebrew means established.  It is pictured in the natural realm in the pillar of a house or root of a plant.

This is strongly linked to faithclick here אמונה & truthclick here אמת  and אב meaning fatherclick here.  It is no surprise that the calendar is then linked to אביב ‘aviv’ (Deuteronomy 16:1) which comes from the same root as אב father (John 14-17).  The word for priest, כהן ‘kohen,’ and community/congregation כנס ‘kanas’ comes from כן ‘kan’ meaning correct.  Ephesians 4:13 states that the unity of faith comes through the full knowledge of Messiah.  The Greek word for ‘full knowledge’ is ἐπιγνωσις ‘epignōsis’ which means precise and correct knowledge.

Being correct- כן is important as Paul, in Ephesians 4, speaks of the mature believer not being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.  This too is spoken of in regards to John the Baptist, who came as Elijah to prepare the way for Messiah (Matthew 11:8).  Recall that Elijah and John the Baptist were not part of the majority (Romans 11:2-5; Matthew 3:1). It is spirit of Elijahclick here that prepares the way for the Lord (Matthew 17:10-12; Malachi 4:4-6; Luke 1:17; 3:4).

2Ti 3:16  All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

2Ti 3:17  so that the man of God may be perfected, being fully furnished for every good work.

כון ‘kun’ is also translated as ‘prepare’ in numerous Scriptures (Exodus 19:11, 15; 34:2).  Preparation of the bride, maturation of the bride for the coming of the bridegroom (Luke 1:17; Revelation 19:7-8; Ephesians 5:25-27).  We are perfected through the Word by the work of the Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 18:32).

Astronomyclick here in Hebrew is תכנה ‘tekunah’ (Job 23:3) which also comes from כן ‘kun’ as it is YHWH who has prepared/fixed/established (כן) the heavenly bodies and their movements for His calendar (Psalm 8:3-4).  The movement of the heavenly bodies is a picture of Messiah & his body and the covenantclick here (Galatians 3:16; Psalm 89:1-5, 29, 35-37; Romans 10:16-19; Psalm 19:1-11).  Abraham’s Seed is likened to the stars where he was commanded to walk before the Most High and be perfect/mature (Genesis 17:1; Deuteronomy 18:13; Matthew 5:48).

It is the carnal nature that divides and separates us in wickedness (1 Corinthians 3:4; Romans 8:8; Philippians 2:3; Galatians 5:20; James 3:14-16) unto unity in the beast (Romans 5:19; Ephesians 2:2-3; John 8:44; Romans 9:8).  It is the Truth that separates us in righteousness (Hebrews 4:12; Ephesians 5:13) unto unity in Messiah.  This is the concept of holiness which comes from the Hebrew word קדש ‘qodesh’ which is a cognate of the word חד ‘chad’ which means unity as holiness means a separation from the world unto unity in YHWH.  קדש is also the word for a cult prostitute or one who is separated unto unity in the beast.

The unity we must seek is only found in Him.

Psa 86:11  Teach me Your way, O YHWH; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.

His Name=His Word/Characterclick here(Revelation 19:13).

Eph 4:3  being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond (σύνδεσμος ‘sundesmos’-  ligaments holding the body together) of peace.

Peace in Hebrew means completeness.

This peace comes only from the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) who came to bring Light to mankind.

Isa 9:2  The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light. The ones who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, light has shone on them.

Notice that Luke links this coming of the Prince of Peace (completeness) with the preparation of John the Baptist.

Luk 1:76  And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Mal. 3:1

Luk 1:77  to give a knowledge of salvation to His people by remission of their sins,

Luk 1:78  through the tender heart of mercy of our God, in which the Dayspring from on high will visit us,

Luk 1:79  to appear to those sitting in darkness and in shadow of death, to direct our feet into the way of peace. Isa. 9:2

Joh 12:32  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to Myself.  {Recall that this drawing together של is the definition of peace שלם}

Joh 12:33  But He said this, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die.

Joh 12:34  The crowd answered Him, We heard out of the Law that The Christ remains to the age. And how do You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?

Joh 12:35  Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going.

Joh 12:36  While you have the Light, believe into the Light, that you may become sons of Light. Jesus spoke these things, and going away He was hidden from them.

Joh 12:37  But though He had done so many miraculous signs before them, they did not believe into Him,

Joh 12:38  so that the Word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said, “Lord, who has believed our report? And the arm of the Lord, to whom was it revealed?” Isa. 53:1

Joh 12:39  Because of this they could not believe, because Isaiah said again,

Joh 12:40  “He has blinded their eyes” and “has hardened their heart,” “that they might not see with the eyes” and “understand with the heart,” “and be converted,” “and I should heal them.” Isa. 6:10

Joh 12:41  Isaiah said these things when he saw His glory, and spoke about Him.

Joh 12:42  Still, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe into Him. But because of the Pharisees, they were not confessing, so that they not be put out of the synagogue.

Joh 12:43  For they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God. {Notice that the love of men and the desire to be a part of the group pulls us away from Messiah, if we are not clinging to Truth}

Joh 12:44  But Jesus cried out and said, The one believing into Me does not believe into Me, but into the One sending Me.

Joh 12:45  And the one seeing Me sees the One who sent Me.

Joh 12:46  I have come as a Light to the world, that everyone who believes into Me may not remain in the darkness.

Joh 12:47  And if anyone hears My Words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world.

Joh 12:48  The one who rejects Me and does not receive My Words has that judging him: the Word which I spoke, that will judge him in the last Day.

Joh 12:49  For I did not speak from Myself, but He who sent Me, the Father, He has given Me command, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Joh 12:50  And I know that His command is everlasting life. Then what things I speak, as the Father has said to Me, so I speak.  {Everlasting life is the blessing linked to unity – Psalm 133…verses 49 & 50 also speak of the Father’s will which is linked with unity as well.  More on this below}

Walking in the Light is linked with exposing the ‘unity’ of darkness

Eph 5:6  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for through these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience.

Eph 5:7  Then do not become partakers with them;

Eph 5:8  for you then were darkness, but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light.

Eph 5:9  For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,

Eph 5:10  proving what is pleasing to the Lord. {The object of becoming perfect/mature is to do His perfect will/desireclick here (Hebrew 13:20-21)}

Eph 5:11  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.

Peter associates this Kingdom of Light with the priesthood of believers who are called to grow in maturity and walk in the straight paths of YHWH.

1Pe 2:1  Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

1Pe 2:2  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

1Pe 2:3  If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1Pe 2:4  To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

1Pe 2:5  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1Pe 2:6  Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

1Pe 2:7  Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

1Pe 2:8  And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

1Pe 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1Pe 2:10  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

John the Baptist & the straight paths

Luk 1:16  And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God.

Luk 1:17  And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah “to turn the hearts of fathers to their children,” and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

Isa. 9:2

Mat 3:1  Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the deserted places of Judea,

Mat 3:2  and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

Mat 3:3  For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!” Isa. 40:3

What is repentance?  Repentance is turning back to the Torah

Eze 18:21  But the wicked, if he will turn from all his sins which he has done, and keep all My statutes, and do justice and righteousness, living he shall live; he shall not die.

Eze 18:30  I will judge you, each man by his ways, O house of Israel, declares the Lord YHWH. Turn and be made to turn from all your transgressions, and iniquity shall not be a stumbling-block to you.

Eze 18:31  Cast away all your transgressions from you by which you have transgressed in them, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

Eze 18:32  For I do not have delight in the death of him who dies, declares the Lord YHWH. So turn and live.

Deu 30:2  and shall turn back to YHWH your God and listen to His voice, according to all that I am commanding you today, you and your sons with all your heart, and with all your soul;

Dan 9:13  As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we did not make our prayer before YHWH our God that we might turn from our perversities and understand Your truth.

What is Truth?

Psa 119:142  Your righteousness is forever, and Your Law is truth.

When we repent we receive the Holy Spirit who leads us into the Truth and obedience.

1Pe 1:1  Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, of Galatia, of Cappadocia, of Asia, and of Bithynia,

1Pe 1:2  according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit to obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

Luk 3:4  as it has been written in the scroll of the Words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.

What is the Way of YHWH?

Psa 119:1  ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled (Hebrew תמים ‘tamiym’ – perfect/mature) in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

What is preparing His paths?

Isa 57:14  And he shall say, Raise up! Raise up! Clear the way! Make the stumbling block rise from the way of My people.

Isa 62:10  Pass! Pass through the gates; prepare the way of the people! Raise up! Raise up the highway; clear it from stones; lift up a banner over the peoples.

Isa 62:11  Behold, YHWH has made it to be heard to the end of the earth; Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold! Your salvation comes! Behold! His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.

Isa 62:12  And they shall call them, The Holy People, the Redeemed of YHWH. And to you it shall be called, Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.

What are the stumbling blocks?

Mat 13:40  Then as the darnel is gathered and is consumed in the fire, so it will be in the completion of this age.

Mat 13:41  The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the offenses (Greek skandalon -stumbling blocks, snares), and those who practice lawlessness.

Mat 13:42  And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

Mat 13:43  Then the righteous will shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one having ears to hear, let him hear.

This is why John the Baptist said the following.  The stumbling blocks/lawless ones will be burned with fire.

Mat 3:10  But already the axe is even laid at the root of the trees; therefore, any tree not bringing forth good fruit is cut off and is thrown into fire.

Mat 3:11  I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than me, of whom I am not able to lift The sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

Mat 3:12  whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and will gather His wheat into the storehouse. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

The coming Kingdom where we will ‘see eye to eye’…why? Because He will be teaching us (Isaiah 2:2; Micah 4:1).

Mat 4:16  the people sitting in darkness saw a great Light; and to those sitting in the region and shadow of death, Light sprang up to them.” Isa. 9:1, 2

Mat 4:17  From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

Isa 9:6  For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7  There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of YHWH of Hosts will do this.

The word unity is only used 3 times in Scripture (Psalm 133:1; Ephesians 4:3; 13).

Psa 133:1  A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold! How good and how pleasant is the living of brothers, even in unity.

Psa 133:2  It is like the precious oil on the head that ran down on the beard, Aaron’s beard, going down to the mouth of his garments;

Psa 133:3  like the dew of Hermon coming down on the mountains of Zion; for there YHWH commanded the blessing: life till everlasting.

Psalm 133 is speaking of the anointing and consecration of Aaron as high priest (Leviticus 8-9).  This is a picture of Messiah – the true Anointed One (Hebrews 8:1-5; 3:1; 4:14-16).  All Israel gathered together at the consecration of the priesthood to the door of the Tabernacle of congregation (Leviticus 8:3).  This is the definition of unity עד.

It was at this time that the priests were cleansed (Leviticus 8:6) which was a picture of the bride being cleansed and prepared to meet her bridegroom (Ephesians 5:26-27; Isaiah 61:10; John 17:17-26; Acts 26:18).  It was at this time that the Tabernacle was anointed (Leviticus 8:10) where it was raised up and became ONE (Exodus 40:2-35; 36:13; Hebrews 9:11, 23, 28; Romans 6:4) and the Glory of YHWH came to earth (Exodus 40:35; Leviticus 9:23).

One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism…

Eph 4:1  Then I, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk worthily of the calling in which you were called,

Eph 4:2  with all humility and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love,

Eph 4:3  being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Eph 4:4  There is one body and one Spirit {Spirit of Truth John 14:17; 17:17}, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling;

Eph 4:5  one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Eph 4:6  one God and Father of all, the One above all and through all and in you all.

Eph 4:7  But to each one of us was given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Eph 4:11  And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12  with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ,

Eph 4:13  until we all may come to the unity of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

Eph 4:14  so that we may no longer be infants, being blown and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the sleight of men, in craftiness to the deceit of error,

Eph 4:15  but speaking the truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, the Christ,

Eph 4:16  from whom all the body, having been fitted and compacted together through every assisting bond, according to the effectual working of one measure in each part, produces the growth of the body to the building up of itself in love.

Eph 4:17  Therefore, I say this, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk even as also the rest of the nations walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Eph 4:32  And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, having forgiven one another, even as also God forgave you in Christ.

Unity through the Knowledge of the Son of Elohim

Eph 4:13  until we all may come to the unity of the faith and of the full knowledge* of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

2Pe 1:1  Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those equally precious with us, having obtained faith in the righteousness of our God and our Savior, Jesus Christ:
2Pe 1:2  Grace to you, and peace be multiplied by a full knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.
2Pe 1:3  As His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness through the full knowledge of the One calling us through glory and virtue,
2Pe 1:4  by which means He has given to us the very great and precious promises, so that through these you might be partakers of the divine nature, escaping from the corruption in the world by lust.

2Pe 1:11  For so will be richly furnished to you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Unity of Faith

Eph 4:13  until we all may come to the unity of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

Faith=Truth
Act 6:7  And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith*.

*The Greek word here is ‘pistis’ which means a conviction of truth.  This is used in the Septuagint to translate the Hebrew word ‘emunah’ which means faith, truth, a firm foundation.
Jer 7:28  But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction:truth{EMUNAH=FAITH} is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
Psa 119:30  I have chosen the way of truth{EMUNAH/Faith}: thy judgments have I laid before me.
Psa 119:138  You have enjoined Your Testimonies as righteous and very faithful {emunah}.

Deu 32:20  And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith {H529}.
Isa 26:2  Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth {H529} may enter in.

THE WORD(TORAH) IS HIS FAITH
Hab 2:4  Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith (emunah).

‘Emunah’ is equated with the Gospel

Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek;
Rom 1:17  for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; even as it has been written, “But the just shall live by faith.”

HE WILL JUDGE THE WORLD BY HIS FAITH/WORD
Psa 96:13  Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth{H530 אמוּנה EMUNAH=faith}.

Judged by His Word…His Wordclick here=Truthclick here=Faith
Joh 12:48  He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Paul made the same connection between His faith and the judgment
Rom 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Rom 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 10:8  But what does it say? “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the Word of faith which we proclaim)
Deuteronomy 30:12-14 – Paul was saying that he proclaimed the Torah according to Deut. 30
Rom 10:17  Then faith is of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.

FAITH IS A WEIGHTIER MATTER OF TORAH
Mat 23:23  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

FAITH AND OBEDIENCE are LINKED TOGETHER
Deu 9:23  Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed (Hebrew ‘aman’ from the same root as ‘emunah’) him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
Jam 2:17  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Act 10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Act 10:35  But in every nation he that feareth {believes/has faith} him, and worketh righteousness {walks in the commandmentsclick here}, is accepted with him.
Heb 4:6  Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief (G543 ἀπείθεια apeitheia disobedience):
Heb 4:11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief (G543 ἀπείθεια apeitheia disobedience).
Col 3:6  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience(G543):
Rom 1:5  by whom we received grace and apostleship to obedience of faith among all the nations, for His name’s sake,
Rom 10:16  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Psa 119:86  All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
Psa 119:138  Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

Rom 11:30  For as you then also disobeyed
(G544) God, but now have obtained mercy by the disobedience (G543) of these,
Rom 11:31  so also these now have disobeyed (G544), so that they also may obtain mercy by your mercy.
Rom 11:32  For God shut up all into disobedience (G543), that He may show mercy to all.

Messiah’s prayer

Joh 17:11  And no longer am I in the world, yet these are in the world; and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You gave to Me, that they may be one as We are.

Joh 17:12  While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

Joh 17:13  And now I come to You, and I speak these things in the world, that they may have My joy being fulfilled in them.

Joh 17:14  I have given them Your Word, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:15  I do not pray that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil.

Joh 17:16  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:17  Sanctify them in Your Truth; Your Word is Truth.

Joh 17:18  As You have sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world,

Joh 17:19  and I sanctify Myself for them, that they also may be sanctified in Truth.

Joh 17:20  And I do not pray concerning these only, but also concerning those who will believe in Me through their word;

Joh 17:20  And I do not pray concerning these only, but also concerning those who will believe in Me through their word;

Joh 17:21  that all may be one, as You are in Me, Father, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Joh 17:22  And I have given them the glory which You have given Me, that they may be one, as We are One:

Joh 17:23  I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected in one; and that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them, even as You loved Me.

How did the Father display His love for us?  He gave His Son (John 3:16) who was lifted up (John 3:14) to gather into one (John 11:52), His people…under the shadow of His wings (Matthew 23:37)as the little guy in His Eyeclick here (Psalm 17:8, 15).

Joh 17:24  Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, that where I am, they may be with Me also, that they may behold My glory which You gave Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Joh 17:25  Righteous Father, indeed the world did not know You, but I knew You; and these have known that You sent Me.

Joh 17:26  And I made known to them Your name, and will make it known, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.

The Bosom, the Family and Gathering at the Cross

The word father in Hebrew is associated with loveclick here, so too is the word mother.  אם (mother) is the source of the Latin ‘amare,’ the French ‘amitie’ and the English ‘amity’ which mean love.  One of the Hebrew words for love is דד ‘dud/dad’ which means both love and breasts/bosom.  Interestingly, the English word ‘baby’ comes from the Hebrew בבה ‘baba’ which is related to the word אבוב ‘aboob’ the root of which is אב which means father but also means a pipe, as in the breast of the mother whose milk flows to give sustenance to the baby.  בבה in Hebrew means the pupil, the apple of one’s eyes.  As any parent has held their baby in their arms against their bosom they recognize this is the epitome of love and intimate relationship (apple of the eye/little guy in the eye).

The word family comes from משפחה ‘mispocha’ the same root as שפח ‘shapach’.  שפח Shaphach is the root of the word crucifixion which gathers all the family of the earth.  The bosom, which represents the love of the family also links to the bosom.

Messiah came from the bosom of the Father.

Joh 1:18  No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One declares Him.

He gathers and then carries in His bosom His people, linking to the crucifixion.  It is through the work of Messiah on the cross that mankind is brought into His family.

Isa 40:10  Behold, the Lord YHWH will come with strength, and His arm rules for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His wage before Him.

Isa 40:11  He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather lambs with His arm; and carry them in His bosom; those with young He will lead;

Psa 89:50  Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, my bearing in my bosom the insults of the many peoples

Psa 89:51  with which Your enemies have cursed, O YHWH; with which they have cursed the footsteps of Your anointed.

Eph 2:8  For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift (gift = love = bosom) of God;

Eph 2:9  not of works, that not anyone should boast;

Eph 2:10  for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

Eph 2:11  Because of this, remember that you, the nations, were then in the flesh (those having been called Uncircumcision by those having been called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands)

Eph 2:12  that at that time you were without Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers of the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Eph 2:13  But now, in Christ Jesus you who then were afar off, came to be near by the blood of Christ.

Eph 2:14  For He is our peace, He making us both one, and breaking down the middle wall of partition,

Eph 2:15  in His flesh causing to cease the enmity, the Law of the commandments in decrees, that He might in Himself create the two into one new man, making peace,

Eph 2:16  and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, slaying the enmity in Himself.

Eph 2:17  And coming, He proclaimed “peace to you, the ones afar off, and to the ones near.” Isa. 57:19

Eph 2:18  For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Eph 2:19  So, then, you are no longer strangers and tenants, but you are fellow citizens* of the saints and of the family of God,

*Through the Messiah we have been given citizenship in Heaven. We should no longer consider ourselves citizens of particular fleshly nations of this world. This gives us unity regardless of nationality.

Through the Messiah we have been adopted into the family of YHWH. We should no longer consider ourselves White or Black or Hispanic etc… This gives us unity regardless of ethnicity.

Through Messiah we are made redeemed Israelites, Abraham’s seed and heirs of the promise. We are not to consider ourselves Catholics or Protestants, Baptists or Lutherans etc., we are redeemed Israelites and adopted into the family of YHWH. We are sons of Elohim and co-heirs w/ Messiah. This gives us unity regardless of religious beliefs.

By believing in Messiah we have ONE KING, ONE LAW, ONE HERITAGE, ONE FAMILY.

There are multiple words in Hebrew for love, all linking back to the bosom.  The most common is אהב which has the meaning of a gift and the expressions and actions of one towards the family.  The pictograph meaning displays the gift of the Father to mankind of His only begotten Son.  Again linking the bosom, the family and the crucifixion.

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 15:13  Greater love than this has no one, that anyone should lay down his soul for his friends.

From the root:

The Pictograph meaning of Love

The first and last letters spell out the word for Father (אב) and the middle letter is a picture of a man with outstretched arms.  The Love of the Father is revealed through the Messiah on the tree, gathering all mankind back to their Creator.

Another word for love is חשק which has the meaning of being knit together in love.  ‘Chashaq’ comes from חב which means the bosom.  ‘Chashaq is the word used in reference to the joining together of the Tabernacle, which is a shadow picture of the body of Messiah.  It is no surprise that this joining together involved nails, just as in the nails used in the crucifixion (Exodus 38:17, 28; Deuteronomy 7:7; Colossians 2:2, 19; Ephesians 4:15-16).

חשק ‘Chashaq’ also can be traced back to the word חק ‘choq’

H2436

חוק  /  חק  /  חיק

chêyq  /  chêq  /  chôq

BDB Definition:

1) bosom, hollow, bottom, midst

חק is the root of חקק and חקה which means to inscribe a decree or custom.  It is used in reference to the Torah.  It is no surprise that the New Covenant, cut at Calvary is associated with the inscribing of the Word on our hearts which is contained in our bosoms (Jeremiah 31:31).

The feasts/appointed times, at which the people of YHWH gathered, are linked to this word ‘choq.’

It is no surprise then that the English word hug traces back to the Hebrew word חג ‘chag’ which means feast.

The feasts revolved around the gathering together of the people to the Tabernacle or tent.  The Tabernacle itself was called the אהל מועד

‘ohel mo’ed’ which means tent of meeting/gathering or tabernacle of congregation.  ‘Moed’ comes from עד which means to see the door, as in meeting as the door of the Tabernacle.

There are two more words in Hebrew which are translated as bosom.  It is חצן which comes from חץ which literally means a tent wall, as in an enclosing.  Finally, the word צלחת which also means a bowl, as in the bowls used in the Tabernacle.  צלחת comes from צלח which traces back further to צל which means a shadow…as under the shadow of His wings, the little guy in His Eye.

Recall that the word in Hebrew for pupil is בבה which is the source of the English word ‘baby.’  Interestingly, the English word ‘shade’ comes from the Hebrew word שד which means the breast/bosom.  שד is the root of the word שדי ‘shaddai’ which is translated as ‘the Almighty.’  שד literally means to return to the door, again linking with the feasts and the Tabernacle mentioned above.

Finally, the word דוד means love.  דד ‘Dod’ literally means the breasts.  The letter ‘dalet’ is the picture of a door, or flap of a tent which opens the way inside.  The tabernacle consisted of two doors/veils which דד displays.  What is the veil of the Tabernacle a picture of?  The body/flesh of Messiah.

Heb 10:20  which He consecrated for us, a new and living way through the veil; that is, His flesh;

The above portion of Scripture is in context of the New Covenant which was cut at Calvary where Messiah gathered mankind into His bosom (Isaiah 40:11; Psalm 89:50).

Messiah’s relationship with the Father

Joh 5:30  I am able to do nothing from Myself; just as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, for I do not seek My will, but the will of the One sending Me, the Father.

Joh 4:34  Jesus said to them, My food is that I should do the will of Him who sent Me, and that I may finish His work.

Joh 6:38  For I have come down out of Heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Joh 6:39  And this is the will of the Father sending Me, that of all that He has given Me, I shall not lose any of it, but shall raise it up in the last day.

Joh 6:40  And this is the will of the One sending Me, that everyone seeing the Son and believing into Him should have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Psa 40:7  Then I said, Lo, I come, in the roll of the Book it is written of Me;

Psa 40:8  I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your Law is within My inmost soul.

Psa 40:9  I have announced righteousness in the great assembly; behold, I will not restrain My lips; O YHWH You know.

Psa 40:10  I have not concealed Your righteousness in My heart; I speak Your faithfulness and Your salvation. I have not hidden Your loving-kindness and Your truth from the great assembly.

His will is His Word

Mat 12:46  But while He was yet speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him.

Mat 12:47  Then one said to Him, Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak to You.

Mat 12:48  But answering, He said to the one speaking to Him, Who is My mother? And who are My brothers?

Mat 12:49  And stretching out His hand to His disciples, He said, Behold, My mother and My brothers.

Mat 12:50  For whoever does the will of My Father in Heaven, that one is My brother and sister and mother.

Luk 8:19  And His mother and His brothers came to Him, and were not able to come up with Him through the crowd.

Luk 8:20  And it was told to Him, saying Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside wishing to see You.

Luk 8:21  And answering, He said to them, My mother and My brothers are these: the ones hearing the Word of God, and doing it.

David wished to know the Father’s will that He may be led on the narrow path to the Kingdom

Psa 143:10  Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Psa 25:4  Shew me thy ways {the way is the Torahclick here}, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Psa 25:5  Lead me in thy truth {truth is Torahclick here} and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

As seen Mark of the Beast – the Great Counterfeit part 1click here, the definition of the mark is what God you are walking with and what path you are on.

Messiah teaches of this concept of walking in His paths to be lead to the land of uprightness.  He then warns of those who bear wicked fruit who would seek to lead astray from the narrow path.

Mat 7:12  Therefore, all things, whatever you desire that men should do to you, so also you should do to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Mat 7:13  Go in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are the ones entering in through it.

Mat 7:14  For narrow is the gate, and constricted is the way that leads away into life, and few are the ones finding it.

Mat 7:15  But beware of the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inside they are plundering wolves.

Mat 7:16  From their fruits you shall know them. Do they gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

Mat 7:17  So every good tree produces good fruits, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruits.

Mat 7:18  A good tree cannot produce evil fruits, nor a corrupt tree produce good fruits.

Mat 7:19  Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire.

Mat 7:20  Then surely from their fruits you shall know them.

Notice that Messiah links the 2 paths to 2 types of trees.  The narrow path to the Kingdom which is linked with the good fruit of the tree of Life, or the broad path to destruction that is linked with the tree of knowledge.

The path that man chooses is linked to the mark that he receives.  The narrow path to the Kingdom and the mark of YHWH or the broad path that leads to destruction and the mark of the beast.

The root word for mark את is a picture of an ox plowing toward a mark.  In ancient Hebrew thought, Elohim was seen as the strong ox that we are yoked with in covenant relationship.  The word for mark is a picture of walking with your Elohim toward your mark/goal (Philippians 3:14).  Walking with Messiah (Mat 11:29) towards the Kingdom of Heaven or walking with the adversary towards sheol. The word for kingdom in Hebrew is מלכת ‘malkut’ which comes from the root לך ‘lakh’ which means to walk.

This is what Paul was alluding to in his letter to the Corinthians.

2Co 6:14  Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership does righteousness have with lawlessness? And what fellowship does light have with darkness?

2Co 6:15  And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever?

2Co 6:16  And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God, even as God said, “I will” dwell in them and “walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Lev. 26:12; Ezek. 37:27

2Co 6:17  Because of this, “come out from among them” “and be separated,” says the Lord, “and do not touch the unclean thing,” and I will receive you. Isa. 52:11

2Co 6:18  “And I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons” and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty. 2 Sam. 7:8, 14; Isa. 43:6

The word belial means “without the yoke”.  Men of belial are men of lawlessness.

Belial:  Belial is derived by some from beli, not, and âl, over, i.e., one so proud and envious as not to bear a superior; by others, from beli, not, and ol, a yoke, i.e., a lawless, ungovernable person, ανδρες παρανομοι, “lawless men,” as the LXX render.

The Yoke is Torah/Word (Matthew 11:28-30).  It is associated with walking with Messiah as His discipleclick here.  The lawless are yoked to sin and are enslaved (John 8:34; Deuteronomy 28:47-48; Leviticus 26:13; Jeremiah 30:8)  Another word for yoke in Hebrew is צמד ‘tsamad’ {Numbers 25:3; Psalm 106:28} which also means a bracelet as is used in marriage.  We can yoke up with Messiah and enter the wedding supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9) or we can yoke up with the lawless one and be a feast for the fowls. (Revelation 19:17-19).

Belial are the thorns (2 Samuel 23:6; 2 Corinthians 12:7-9), the tares among the wheat (Deuteronomy 13:13; 2 Corinthians 6:15-16) who are to be burned (Matthew 13:42).  They are associated with the army of satan (2 Corinthians 12:7).

The Covenant

The letter ת ‘tav’ in pictograph form is two crossed sticks which has the meaning of a covenant.

Covenant relationship is linked with walking together. (1 Kings 8:23; 2 Kings 23:3; 2 Chronicles 6:14; 34:31; Psalm 78:10)

Gen 17:1  And when Abram was ninety nine years old, YHWH appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before me and be perfect;

Gen 17:2  and I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you very much.

Amo 3:3  Will two walk together (Heb. yachad – one) except they are agreed?

Walking together in covenant with the Most High is equivalent to knowing His Way.  Knowing His Way is Knowing Him (Exodus 33:13).

Patience & His Will

Heb 10:36  For ye have need of patience*, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

*What is patience?

Rev 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The object of becoming perfect/mature is to do His perfect will.

Heb 13:20  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Heb 13:21  Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

This was the call of Abraham

Gen 17:1  And when Abram was ninety nine years old, YHWH appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before me and be perfect;

This is the call of His people

Mat 5:48  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

We are to use our gifts so that the body can be perfect in His will

Eph 4:11  And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12  with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ,

Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Perfect bride

Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave Himself up on its behalf,

Eph 5:26  that He might sanctify it, cleansing it by the washing of the water in the Word,

Eph 5:27  that He might present it to Himself as the glorious assembly, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such things, but that it be holy and without blemish {This is the definition of ‘tamiym’ (perfect)}.

Rev 19:7  Let us rejoice and let us exult, and we will give glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb came, and His wife prepared herself.

Rev 19:8  And it was given to her that she be clothed in fine linen, pure and bright; for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.

Rev 19:9  And he says to me, Write: Blessed are the ones having been called to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb. And he says to me, These Words of God are true.

The perfect way

2Sa 22:31  As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

2Sa 22:32  For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

2Sa 22:33  God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Psa 18:32  It is God who girds me with strength and gives my way to be perfect;

Psa 119:1  ALEPH: Blessed are the upright (Heb. tamiym) in the way, who walk in the Law of YHWH.

Psa 119:2  Blessed are those keeping His Testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart.

Psa 119:3  They also do not work evil; they walk in His way.

This portion of Psalm 119 is connected to Psalm 1 which speaks of the 2 ways (good or evil) and the two trees of Eden.

Mat 19:16  And, behold, coming near, one said to Him, Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17  And He said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One, God! But if you desire to enter into life, keep the commandments.
Mat 19:18  He said to Him, Which? And Jesus said, “You shall not commit murder, nor commit adultery, nor steal, nor bear false witness,
Mat 19:19  honor your father and your mother,” and, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Ex. 20:12-16; Lev. 19:18; Deut. 5:16-20
Mat 19:20  The young man said to Him, All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?
Mat 19:21  Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Messiah knew that this individual had covetousness in his heart despite his outward showing of ‘holiness.’  An outward showing of obedience is not what our Father desires.  He wants us to be renewed from within, walking in Messiah.

Rom 12:2  And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
Rom 12:3  For through the grace which is given to me, I say to everyone being among you, not to have high thoughts beyond what is right to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God divided a measure of faith to each.
Rom 12:4  For even as we have many members in one body, but all members do not have the same function,
Rom 12:5  so we the many are one body in Christ, and each one members of one another,
Rom 12:6  but having different gifts according to the grace given to us, whether prophecy, according to the proportion of the faith;
Rom 12:7  or ministry, in the ministry; or the one teaching, in the teaching;
Rom 12:8  or the one exhorting, in the encouragement; the one sharing, in simplicity; the one taking the lead, in diligence; the one showing mercy, in cheerfulness.

We are to walk with Messiah to perfection.  This was the message of the Apostles.

Rom 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Phi 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Phi 3:15  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Col 1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Eph 4:11  And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;

Col 4:12  Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete {G4137 pleroo fulfill(Mtt5:17)}in all the will of God.

Heb 6:1  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Love the bond of perfection

Col 3:14  And above all these, love, which is the bond of perfectness.

Eph 1:4  Just as from the beginning he has chosen us through him, before the foundation of the world, that we may become holy and without blemish before him.

Eph 1:5  And he marked us with his love {His love is His Torahclick here…this is what the Mark of YHWH is*} to be his from the beginning, and adopted us to be sons through Jesus Christ, as it pleased his will.

Eph 1:11  in whom we also have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated (Aramaic – mark) according to the purpose of the One working all things according to the counsel of His own will,

*The Shema, is the definition of love.

Mat 22:37  And Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Deut. 6:5

Mat 22:38  This is the first and great commandment.

Mat 22:39  And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Lev. 19:18

Mat 22:40  On these two commandments all the Law and the Prophets hang.

The ‘shema’ comes from Deuteronomy 6 which is to be between the eyes and on the hand.

Deu 6:4  Hear, O Israel, YHWH our God is one YHWH.

Deu 6:5  And you shall love YHWH your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

Deu 6:6  And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart.

Deu 6:7  And you shall teach them to your sons, and shall speak of them as you sit in your house, and as you walk in the way, and as you are lying down, and as you are rising up.

Deu 6:8  And you shall bind them for a sign on your hand; and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.

Deu 6:9  And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house, and on your gates.

In the Hebrew text the ‘shema’ begins and ends with enlarged letters that spell עד which is UNITY.

Sons of Elohim through Messiah.  Conformed to His Image.  His Covenant Bride (seed of Abraham – Genesis 17).

Rom 8:28  But we know that to the ones loving God all things work together for good, to those being called according to purpose;

Rom 8:29  because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers.

Rom 8:30  But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Rom 8:37  But in all these things we more than conquer through Him loving us.

Rom 8:38  For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39  nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Gal 3:26  for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Gal 3:27  For as many as were baptized into Christ, you put on Christ.

Gal 3:28  There cannot be Jew nor Greek, there is no slave nor freeman, there is no male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Gal 3:29  And if you are of Christ, then you are a seed of Abraham, even heirs according to promise.

Joh 10:16  And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.

We have arguments and disagreements now, but when Messiah comes we will all see eye to eye

Isa 52:8  The voice of your watchmen, they lift the voice together, they sing aloud. For they shall see eye to eye when YHWH brings back Zion.

Eze 11:19  And I shall give to them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will remove the stony heart out of their flesh, and I will give them a heart of flesh,

Eze 11:20  so that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments, and do them. And they shall be to Me for a people, and I will be to them for God.

Jer 32:37  Behold, I will gather them out of all the lands, there where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great indignation. And I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to live in safety.

Jer 32:38  And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

Jer 32:39  And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me all the days, for good to them and to their sons after them.

Jer 32:40  And I will cut an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do good to them. But I will put My fear in their heart, that they shall not depart from Me.

Jer 32:41  And I will rejoice over them, to do good to them; and I will truly plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.

Zep 3:9  For then I will give a clear lip to the peoples, to call all of them by the name of YHWH, to serve Him with one shoulder (consent).

One Accord

Act 1:14  These all continued with one accord  (homothumadon) in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Act 2:1  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Act 2:46  And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

G3661
ὁμοθυμαδόν
homothumadon
Thayer Definition:
1) with one mind, with one accord, with one passion
Part of Speech: adverb
A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from a compound of the base of G3674 and G2372

ὁμοθυμαδον ‘homothumadon’ literally means with one sacrifice…again linking to the Temple and the Sacrifices associated with the feasts which were shadow pictures pointing to Messiah Yahshua.

ὁμοθυμαδον ‘homothumadon’  comes from two Greek words.  ὁμοῦ ‘homou’ means an assembly of persons and θυμός ‘thumos’ means passion, anger, emotions that boil up from the root word θύω ‘thuō’ which means a sacrifice, in particular the Passover sacrifice.

1Co 5:7  Then purge out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For also Christ our Passover was sacrificed for us.

The feasts and sacrifices were designed to point to Messiah, the Word made flesh.  In these daily, weekly and yearly cycles, believers were gathered together as one.  The word for calendar in Hebrew קרא, which will be discussed in more detail below, comes from this concept where people gather together for a single purpose.  Literally, it is the word for a gathering of people to read the Word.  This is what unites us, this is what gives us ONE voice.

One mouth

Jos 9:2  they with one mouth (KJV one accord) gathered themselves to fight with Joshua and with Israel.

Rom 15:6  that with one accord and with one mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Light that came forth from the Voice of the Most High upon the Waters at Creation displays this concept.

In the beginning, the Word/Voice of the Most High acted upon the waters and brought forth Light.  Sound frequencies based on physics and mathematics were applied to water.

Everything of mass and matter is vibrating, everything makes a sound (frequency).  Everything is reSONating.

Heb 11:3  By faith we understand the ages to have been framed by the Word of God, so that the things seen should not come into being out of things that appear.
Heb 1:2  in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; through whom He indeed made the ages;
Psa 33:6  Through the Word of YHWH the heavens were made; and all their host were made by the breath of His mouth.
2Pe 3:5  For this is hidden from them by their willing it so, that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, having subsisted by the Word of God,

In the beginning sound was on the waters.  The English word sound comes from:

SOUND, n. [L. sonus, from sonom to sound, sing, rattle, beat, &c. This may be a dialectical variation of L. tonus, tono, which seems to be allied to L. teneo.] {Webster’s 1828 Dictionary}

Notice the link between sound and a bird/swan.  In the Scriptures a link is also seen.

Gen 1:2  and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moving gently on the face of the waters,
Gen 1:3  then God said, Let light be! And there was light.

The word translated as ‘moving gently’ comes from the following:

Here we see imagery of a bird hovering over its nest.  YHWH/Yahshua is described in this same imagery.

Deu 32:10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste, a howling wilderness. He encircled him and cared for him; He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.

Mat 23:37  Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those sent to her. How often I desired to gather your children in the way a bird gathers her chicks under her wings! And you did not desire it.

רחף comes from the root:

Messiah is the door that we enter in order to abide in His ‘House’ (John10:7) it is through Him that we are covered/hidden.  This is the definition of who the Israel of Elohim is (Galatians 6:16)…His hidden ones (Psalm 83:3).  It is by the covenant cut in Messiah (Daniel 9:26; Isaiah 42:6) by His sacrifice on the tree that we are covered (1 John 1:7).  It is through His Outstretched Arms (wings) that Messiah is calling us (John 3:14; 12:32) and gathering us together as a Shepherd does His flock (John 10:14-16).  This is how we enter the Door into the House, this is how we are declared innocent and pure in His eyes.  This is how we become His friends and enter into His tents in an intimate relationship click here.

חפ is the root for the word ‘Chuppah’/wedding canopy

Abiding under the shadow of His wings and being in ‘marriage covenant’ with Him through Messiah is one and the same thing.

The canopy as a covering is connected with being the ‘little guy in His eyesclick here

Zec 2:8  For so says YHWH of Hosts: He has sent Me after glory, to the nations who plundered you; for he who touches you touches the pupil of His eye.

Zec 2:5 And I will be to her a wall of fire all around, and I will be for glory in her midst, declares YHWH.

Isa 4:2  In that day the Branch of YHWH will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth for pride and for glory for the survivors of Israel.
Isa 4:3  And it shall be, he remaining in Zion, and he who is left in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, every one who is written among the living in Jerusalem;
Isa 4:4  when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem shall have been rinsed away from its midst by a spirit of judgment, and by a spirit of burning.
Isa 4:5  Then YHWH will create a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night, over all the site of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies; for on all the glory will be a canopy
(chuppah).
Isa 4:6  And there shall be a booth for a shade from the heat, and for a refuge, and for a hiding place from storm and rain.

Under His wings = under His skirt/kanaph.

This is a term of intimacy between a man and His wife.

Deu 22:30  A man shall not take his father’s wife, and shall not uncover his father’s skirt.

Rth 3:9  And he said, Who are you? And she said, I am your handmaid Ruth, and you shall spread your skirt over your handmaid, for you are a kinsman redeemer.

Eze 16:8  And I passed by you, and I looked on you, and, behold, your time was the time of love. And I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness. And I swore to you and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord YHWH. And you became Mine.

Kerubim

Cherubim overshadowed the ark of the covenant with their wings…abiding under His wings=abiding in His Word/Yahshua.  The Kerubim were those who guarded the Tree of Life.  When we are abiding under the shadow of His wings we are entering back spiritually in the Garden.  See PaRDeSclick here studies.

Kerubim

Exo 25:20  And the cherubs shall be spreading out wings above, covering the mercyseat with their wings, and their faces each toward its brother; the faces of the cherubs shall be toward the mercyseat.

Abiding in the Shadow of His wings means we are protected from adversity.  This can also be seen by walking in the Torah.

Psa 94:12  Blessed is the man You chasten, O YHWH, You teach him out of Your Law;

Psa 94:13  to give him rest from troubled days, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

Psa 94:14  For YHWH will not leave His people; nor will He forsake His inheritance.

Abiding under the shadow of His wings again goes back to the imagery in the Temple of the Kerubim.  Abiding in His Word = abiding under the shadow of His wings = abiding in Messiah (John 15)

Interestingly, going back to the root of the word rachaph רחף (hovering/under wings of bird) also connects to the Temple in that the word for barefoot comes from the same root (חף).  According to history, the Kohanim would always walk barefoot in the Temple due to it being holy ground as in Exodus 3:5 & Joshua 5:15.

Abiding under the shadow of His wings and walking in His Light

Psa 36:7  How precious is Your mercy, O God! And the sons of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. {Under the shadow  of His wings refers back to the Spirit hovering over the waters}
Psa 36:8  They shall be satisfied from the abundance of Your house; and You make them drink the torrent of Your pleasures (Eden).
Psa 36:9  For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

Who abides in His shadow? Zion
Psa 36:8  They shall be satisfied (watered) from the abundance of Your house; and You make them drink the torrent of Your pleasures.
Pleasures=Eden
Rev 21:6  And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending. To the one thirsting, I will freely give of the fountain of the Water of Life.
Rev 22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And the one hearing, let him say, Come! And the one thirsting, let him come; and the one desiring, let him take of the water of life freely.

Evening and morning were the first day…at the going down of the sun and the rising of the sun is when the birds are heard singing.

Psa 65:8  And those living in the uttermost parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and the evening to rejoice.

Morning and evening our Creator is calling us to Him.  Calling us to the shadow of His wings.  Calling us back to Him through the Messiah under His outstretched arms.

This is also seen in the Temple/Tabernacles services.

Every morning and every evening (Exodus 29:38-42), they would sacrifice a lamb, with its compliment oblation (grain offering), and libation (wine offering). These sacrifices allowed them twice a day to remember or to ‘re-experience’ the salvation of YHWH.  At the ‘Last Supper’ Messiah brought forth the bread & the wine and then offered Himself as the lamb of the New Covenant.  Passover occurs at the beginning of the year, it is a picture of being reborn in Messiah, pointing back to the beginning/creation of the world.  The Flood of Noah was a type of rebirth (1 Peter 3:20) where the dry land appeared in the first month (Genesis 8:13).  So too, at the Passover in Egypt during the Exodus, Yisrael passed through the Yam Suf and were baptized (1 Corithians 10:2)  Baptism is a picture of being born again, into the body of Messiah (1 Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 3:11; Galatians 3:27-28).  Interestingly the word for unison traces back to ‘son’ the root of sound

If one takes two stringed instruments that are tuned the same (in harmony) and one plucks the string of one instrument, the other instrument’s string will vibrate and produce same sound.

Joh 10:16  And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.

Psa 29:3  The voice of YHWH is on the waters; the God of glory thunders; YHWH is above many waters.

This Psalm was said to be sung in ancient times during Shavuot and Sukkot at ‘the pouring out of the Spirit’ (thunderstorms).

The Hebrew word translated as ‘voice’ comes from:

The Spirit of Elohim hovering over the waters is connected to the Voice of Elohim over the waters.  Here the imagery connects the Bird overshadowing/covering her brood with the Shepherd and his flock.  In the first verse of Genesis a shadow picture of Messiah gathering His people is seen.  Waters in the Scriptures is used as a type for people (Psalm 65:7).  Here a picture of Messiah hovering/covering His people and on day 3 the dry land appears.  This is a shadow picture of the resurrection.  The number 3 and resurrection is a sign of the Messiah in Scriptures.  We are His Body and therefore will also be resurrected on the ’3rd day’ (Hosea 6:2).

The Spirit is likened to a dove at the Baptism of Messiah.  Baptism is a symbol of rebirth, hence the Spirit/Dove is linked to rebirth and resurrection.
Luk 3:21  And it happened, in the baptizing of all the people, Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened;
Luk 3:22  and the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily form as a dove upon Him. And there was a voice out of Heaven, saying, You are My Son, the Beloved; in You I have been delighting.
Psa. 2:7; Gen 22:2; Isa. 42:1

The Creation

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth;
Gen 1:2  and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moving gently on the face of the waters,

A replay of this was seen when the virgin Mary conceived and brought forth the Messiah…the Light of the world.  The Spirit hovered over her ‘waters/womb’, the Seed (the Word) was implanted and she brought forth the Tree of Life.

Luk 1:35  And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

Is it just coincidence that ‘consonant’ comes from the same root ‘son’ in English?  Could it also be coincidence that the Hebrew alphabet is made up of all consonants?  This same Hebrew alphabet that makes up the Word.  The Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. Is this why Zephaniah prophesied that the clear lip of Hebrew would be returned to usclick here (Zephaniah 3:9)?

Rom 15:6  that with one accord and with one mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What does the English word accord trace back to?   Accordare (Italian) “to attune an instrument” and Latin. accordare “make agree,” lit. “be of one heart.  Again a reference to being born again or circumcision of the heart.  How is the heart circumcised?  Through the Word (Hebrew 4:12; Luke 24:31-32; Acts 2:37; Jeremiah 32:39-40).  It is through this circumcision/entering of the Word that Light comes forth (Psalm 119:130)

The Hebrew word circumcision comes from:

מול comes from the root:

Or it could be said ConSONants brought together to form Words.  Each of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet have different meanings since Hebrew is a pictographic language.  Different parts come together to form the Word.  Just as different parts of the Tabernacle, which had different functions came together to become ONE (Exodus 36:13).

1Co 12:12  For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1Co 12:13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1Co 12:14  For the body is not one member, but many.

One Voice in unity/harmony is linked with the Glory of YHWH.  Recall that His Glory appeared when Israel was gathered together as one at the consecration of the priesthood, which is a picture of Messiah gathering His people together when He returnsclick here.

The Glory of YHWH is connected w/ music
Luk 2:32  a Light for revelation to the nations, and the Glory
(Greek doxia=Praise) of Your people Israel.

In 2 Chronicles 5:11-13, the Levitical priests sing songs of praise unto the Most High and His Glory (Shechinah) appears to Yisrael.  This is true harmony or ‘armonia’ in Spanish.

Messiah is His Glory…His Light

Rev 21:23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Eze 43:2  And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. And His voice was like the voice of many waters. And the earth shone from His glory.

His Glory and the Rainbow

Beginning with water, resonating the right sound will produce all the colors of the light spectrum.

Notice the connection between the waters, the rainbow and the throne of Elohim.

Psa 29:10  YHWH sits upon the flood; yea, YHWH sits as King forever.
Rev 4:3  And the One sitting was in appearance like a jasper stone, and a sardius; and a rainbow was around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.
Eze 1:27  And I saw Him, like the color of polished bronze, looking like fire within it all around. From the appearance of His loins and upward, and from the appearance of His loins and downward, I saw Him looking like fire; and brightness to it all around.
Eze 1:28  As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of the rain, so appeared the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of YHWH. And I saw, and I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.

Sound & Light…Frequencies

E.W. Bullinger – Number in Scripture pg 18

One more step brings us to colour, which is caused by the vibrations of light, as sound is caused by the vibrations of air. There is a relation between the two, so that a particular colour corresponds to a particular note in music.

Hence there are seven colours answering to the seven musical sounds, and it is found that sounds which harmonize, correspond with colours that harmonize. While discords in colour correspond with discords in music.

The seven, both in music and colour, are divided into three and four. Three primary colours and four secondary, from which all others proceed, answer to the three primary sounds called the Tri-chord, or common chord, and four secondary.

The subject is too abstruse to enlarge further upon here. Sufficient has been said to show that in the works of God all is perfect harmony, order and symmetry, both in number and design; and one corresponds with the other in a real and wonderful manner.

The Menorah and the Solfeggio Scale

Identity – You are the Tabernacle of God by John Saba pg 54

Day 1 of creation corresponds to day 4.  Day 2 corresponds to day 5.  Day 3 corresponds to day 6.  The Light of the 1st day connects with the light of the sun on day 4.  The fish in the 5th day and the water of the 2nd day connect.  Man in the 6th day connects with the earth/dust from whence he came.  Using this pattern Mr. Saba found that the menorah shows the original Solfeggio scale Solfeggio Scale .

Left to right
174, 285, 396
Right to left
417, 528, 639
Bottom to right to left
741, 852, 963

1: Ut=396=9
2. Re=417=3
3. Mi=528=6
4. Fa=639=0
5. Sol=741=3
6. La=852=6

Here we see a connection, via the Menorah, between light and sound.  The 7 branches of the Menorah correspond to the 7 notes in the musical scale and the 7 colors in the color spectrum and the 7 wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Sound resonating on the waters

Going back to the Hebrew word רחף (hovering/moving) this word is also translated as ‘shake’ in the Scriptures (Jeremiah 23:9)  This describes perfectly Genesis 1:2-3.

Sound operates in waves.  Light operates in particles & waves.  Light can travel through a vacuum whereas sound can’t.  Sound needs a medium in order to travel.  The Light in the beginning is the medium by which sounds resonates through the universe.

Light can be seen, sound can’t (for the most part).

The Light came out of darkness and waters (or that which can’t be seen).  In Hebrew the word for what is מה

The picture being painted here is Light coming out of darkness.  Or the physical manifestation of Elohim coming out of the unknown.  The Scriptures define Messiah Yahshua as the Light (Isaiah 9:2; John 1:9; 8:2; 9:5; 12:46), yet it is clear that Messiah Yahshua is the Creator (Ephesians 3:9; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Colossians 1:16) who was in the beginning with the Father (John 17:5) so the Light coming forth from the darkness isn’t speaking of the ‘creation’ of Messiah.  It is a picture of Him physically manifesting in His creation.

Here in the beginning we see two manifestations of Messiah Yahshua in His glorified form.  The first as the Word/Voiceclick here of Elohim which can be heard but not seen and as the Lightclick here which can be seen but not heard.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Sound moving on the waters brought forth Light.  Light (carried/bore) ‘children’ (sound/words/atoms).

Hebrew words (the Word) break down to 3 letter conSONental root.  Each word has a Parent root of 2 letters with 3rd letter making the root ‘usable’.  This is how atoms and molecules work.  Multiple elements join together to form molecules which make up matter.  The electron of the atom is constantly spinning and moving, just as in Hebrew every word comes from a root word which is a verb click here .

The English word ‘sound’ traces back to the following Hebrew word:

Notice again the connection to water, and thunder as in Psalm 29.

Isa 66:6  A roaring sound from the city! A sound from the temple! It is the sound of YHWH repaying retribution to His enemies.

Isa 66:6  קול שׁאון מעיר קול מהיכל קול יהוה משׁלם גמול לאיביו׃

Qol Sha’on (Roaring voice)  This portion of text then speaks of the birth of Zion (Isaiah 66:7-8).  Again a connection between the Voice/Sound of Elohim and birth/rebirth (Psalm 29:9; 89:15; John 5:25, 28-29).  This concept is further seen in the voice/Spirit of Elohim moving on the waters and bringing forth Light.  Light is seen as life (John 1:4) whereas darkness is seen as death (Psalm 107:10; Job 10:21).  Furthermore, man is given life through the Spirit/Breathe of Elohim.  Without it we perish (Ecclesiastes 12:7).  The connection between breathe/Spirit, His Voice/Word and Light is seen in the organs human body…more on this below.

Not surprisingly, sound is related to water in the English language as well.

Light & Light

Light (not heavy) and light (illumination) are related
Lungs, Light & Water…

The eternal organs in our bodies are a shadow picture of the Kingdom click here.  Our bodies are His Temple (Ephesians 2:21-22; 5:30; 1 Corinthians 6:19).   In the book of Revelation (Chapter 4) John is shown a vision of the Throne of Elohim.  When our hearts are circumcised (Deuteronomy 10:15; 30:6; Jeremiah 32:39-40; Ezekiel 11:19-20, Colossians 2:11-13; Hebrews 4:11-14; Luke 24:31-32)  Elohim is enthroned (Romans 10:8-10).  Around His throne are 4 living creatures (Revelation 4:6) which represents the 4 chambers of the human heart.  Around the throne and the 4 living creatures are 24 elders (Revelation 4:4) representing the 24 ribs surrounding the human heart.  From the heart blood is pumped to the Lungs.  As seen above the etymology of the English word ‘Lung’ traces back to the meaning of Light.  In our bodies our lungs have 7 vascular bundles called nodes.  These represent the 7 Spirits of Elohim (Revelation 4:5; Isaiah 11:1-3).  These 7 Spirits/Ruach/Breathe are pictured in the earthly Tabernacle/Temple by the Menorah.  The Menorah is a picture of the Tree of Life.  The Light of the world.

When we breathe we proclaim His Name.  When we inhale it sounds like ‘Yah’ and when we exhale it sounds like ‘weh.’…..One mouth, one Word…

Menorah

As seen above, the image of the Menorah is related to Genesis 1:2.  As mentioned above, Messiah on the cross/tree with His outstretched arms points back to Genesis 1:2 and the spirit hovering over the waters/bird overshadowing her brood.  The menorah displays this concept.

Was the crucifixion really an image of the Menorah?

The Scriptures speak of the crucifixion being on a tree
Act 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you seized, hanging Him on a tree.
Act 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did, both in the country of the Jews, and in Jerusalem. They did away with Him, hanging Him on a tree.
Act 13:29 And when they finished all the things having been written concerning Him, taking Him down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb.
Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it has been written, “Cursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;”
Deut. 21:23
1Pe 2:24 who “Himself carried up in His body our sins” onto the tree; that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness, of whom “by His wound you were healed.”

Yahshua was crucified in the midst of two thieves

Joh 19:18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, on this side and on that side, and Jesus in the middle.

Traditionally this is the image that is portrayed of the crucifixion.

But if this were the case the following Scripture would make no sense.

Joh 19:31 Then, since it was Preparation, that the bodies not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for great was the day of that sabbath, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and they be taken away.
Joh 19:32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other crucified with Him.
Joh 19:33 But on coming to Jesus, when they saw He was dead already, they did not break His legs.

Why would the soldiers break the legs of the 1st and 3rd person and then go to Yahshua last? If they were all crucified on one tree this would make perfect sense as they would make a circle starting from the 1st thief and working around to the Messiah.  If Messiah and the two thieves were crucified on a single tree then the image that would have been formed would have been a menorah.

Another hint of this is seen in the following verse:

Joh 19:31  Then, since it was Preparation, that the bodies not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for great was the day of that sabbath, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and they be taken away.

Notice it says bodies (plural) should not remain on the cross (singular).  The text seems to indicate that all 3 bodies were on a single ‘cross’ which in Greek would be stauros (tree).

Ernest Martin

“Since we are told by the apostle John (who was an eyewitness to the crucifixion) that all three were crucified on ONE stauros (i.e. a single tree), it is easy to see how the Roman soldiers broke the legs of the robber in the Messiah’s right side (who had his back to the Messiah and was located on the northeast side of him) and then they broke the legs of the robber on the Messiah’s left side (who also had his back to the Messiah but was located on the southeast side of him). So, proceeding from the northeast side of the tree of crucifixion, the soldiers killed the first robber, went to the southeast side and killed the second robber, but they then came to the Messiah who was facing (let us say) westward towards his Father’s Temple. When they reached Yeshua they found him dead already. (Secrets of Golgotha, pp. 176-177).”

Tree of Life

The verses that speak of Messiah being crucified on a tree use the word ξύλον xulon for tree.  This is the same word used for tree of life in the New Testament.

Rev 22:2  In the midst of its street and of the river, from here and from there, was a tree of life producing twelve fruits: according to one month each yielding its fruit. And the leaves of the tree were for healing of the nations.

Rev 22:14  Blessed are the ones doing His commands, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and by the gates they may enter into the city.

The Bible as a Menorah

http://www.biblewheel.com/Topics/Menorah.asp

The Hebrew letters running down the center column represent the number of books on the corresponding branches. The letters are:

Tav: 22nd letter
Heh: 5th letter
Lamed: 12th letter
Heh: 5th letter

These letters spell the word tehillah which means praise.

Exo 25:33  three almond like calyxes on the one branch with knob and blossom; and three almond like calyxes on the one branch with knob and blossom, so for the six branches, those going out from the lampstand.
3×6+4=22…corresponding to the 22 Hebrew letters.

Each side branch has three sets of three items – three bowls, each with a “knop” and a “flower.” The central branch has four sets of the same three items. Thus, the numerical arrangement of these decorations follow a symmetric pattern on the seven branches:

9 + 9 + 9 + 12 + 9 + 9 + 9

The number of these “decorations” sums to 66, the number of books in the Bible. Furthermore, the sum subdivides into the sum of the first four (9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 12 = 39) and the last three (9 + 9 + 9 = 27) to give the number of books in the Old and New Testaments. Putting it all together, we see that the Bible and the Menorah have a large set of structural numbers in common:

  • 7 Branches [Canonical Divisions] symmetrically displayed
  • 3 Branches [Canonical Divisions] are paired, with one set apart.
  • 22 Bowls [Hebrew Letters]
  • 66 Decorations [Books] that subdivide into groups of 39 and 27

The structure of the Menorah also integrates with axis of the Wheel, with the Tav on the central pillar referring back, yet again, to the Crucifixion. Taking just the distinct letters from the central column yields the Tav KeyWord (Talah, to hang). God used this word to describe the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ when He gave this command in Deuteronomy 21:22

Deu 21:22  And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree,
Deu 21:23  his body shall not remain all night on the tree; but burying you shall bury him the same day. For he that is hanged is a reproach to God. And you shall not defile your land which YHWH your God is giving to you as an inheritance.

The divine integration is astounding. The Number 22 – the Number that unites the entire body of Scripture – is also the value of the fundamental Hebrew word Yachad (Yachad, Unite) used in Psalm 86, Yet there is more, the phrase “unite my heart” is numerically equivalent for the Hebrew

word for the Wheel, Gilgal. We have a pair of identities:

Unite My Heart!picYached Levavi = 66 =  galgal (Galgal, Wheel)

The triliteral root common to the two words rolled and Gilgal is galal () which expresses the idea of something round, circular, or rolling. It is the root of the word Galilee, the region of the Lord’s earthly ministry, so called because it consisted of a circuit (galeel ) of cities on the furthest outreaches of the Israeli kingdom. This root also gives rise to megillah () denoting a scroll, or roll of a book. The prophet Zechariah used this word when he wrote, “Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll ().” Likewise, it is used in Psalm 40, the prophetic Psalm of the Lord’s first advent, where we read: “Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume () of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.”

All of these ideas come together in the meaning of the root pic (Galah, S# H1540) which is various translated as uncovered, discovered, opened, or revealed. It is used in Isaiah 53.1 “Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?” This is the Hebrew root – the root of the word Revelation – that governs the overall structure of Scripture!

The name of the place where the Lord was crucified is the Aramaic3 Gulgoltha ()  which became Golgotha () in Greek. It arose from galal through the Hebrew word for a skullgulgoluth (), so called because of its round form.

The name of the place where the Lord was crucified, therefore, differs from the Hebrew word denoting a wheel, galgal (), by the addition of two letters, the Aleph () and the Tav (). These are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet that govern the overall structure of God’s Wheel. They correspond to the Greek Alpha and Omega, by which the Lord God identified himself, saying, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

This intimate relation between the Wheel, the letters Aleph and Tav, and Golgotha is but a glimpse of the infinite depth of God’s perfect wisdom. How mighty are his works! He designed each letter of the Hebrew alphabet to be kind of hieroglyph with a complex set of symbolic meanings that marvelously mix and merge to form the living words of the Hebrew language. By studying each letter’s name, grammatical function, numerical weight and relation to other letters, we come to understand its essential meaning and how it governs the themes of its corresponding Spoke. The thoroughly Jewish understanding of these letters can be found at Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh’s site

These two letters, Aleph and Tav, combine to form the word , Eth, which in a mundane sense merely serves to indicate the direct object in the accusative case. But both scholars and mystics have noted that there is much more to be found in this simple word. The ever scholarly Ernst Klein, in his Etymological Dictionary of the Hebrew Language, noted that was originally “a noun in the sense of ‘being, essence, existence,’” while the esoteric author of the Zohar elaborated on this, stating that signifies essence of a thing, from beginning to end, first and last, and noted its use in Genesis 1.1 where it appears at the center of first seven words of the Bible:

With this understanding of Eth, we discover that the true essence of the Wheel, Eth Galgal, , is an anagram of , Golgotha, where the only change is that the First has become Last!6

Golgotha remains fixed as the inescapable central point about which God’s revelation eternally revolves. It is the unmovable axis of the Wheel. From Aleph to Tav, from beginning to end, from Genesis to Revelation, this is the message encoded in the supernatural structure of the Bible.

Behold the wisdom of God! The very word denoting the intrinsic geometric structure of God’s Word, Galgal, points directly and inevitably to its central event at Golgotha, the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ, where the reproach of our sin was forever rolled away. Glory to God in the highest!

Gen 1:3  then God said, Let light be! And there was light.

Light & the Word

TORAH/WORD is Light
Pro 6:23  For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Psa 119:105  NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Wis 18:4  For they were worthy to be deprived of light and imprisoned in darkness, who had kept thy sons shut up, by whom the uncorrupt light of the law was to be given unto the world.
Bar 4:1  This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endureth for ever: all they that keep it shall come to life; but such as leave it shall die.
Bar 4:2  Turn thee, O Jacob, and take hold of it: walk in the presence of the light thereof, that thou mayest be illuminated.

By looking at the gematria of the phrase ‘let there be light’ we see another connection to the Word

Light

WISDOM/SPIRIT

Wis 7:24  For wisdom is more moving than any motion: she passeth and goeth through all things by reason of her pureness.
Wis 7:25  For she is the breath of the power of God, and a pure influence flowing from the glory of the Almighty: therefore can no defiled thing fall into her.
Wis 7:26  For she is the brightness of the everlasting light, the unspotted mirror of the power of God, and the image of his goodness.

YAHSHUA IS THE LIGHT
Isa 9:2  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Joh 1:9  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Joh 9:5  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Joh 12:46  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

TORAH AND TESTIMONY
Isa 8:20  To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Rev 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Isa 60:1  Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of YHWH has risen on you!
Isa 60:2  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But YHWH shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.

The Hebrew words for ‘light’ and ‘word’ are also similar in that they have the same meaning of order.

Light comes from the following root word:

Word comes from the following root word:

Webster’s 1828 Dictionary
Order
OR’DER, n. [L. ordo.]

The english word order comes from the Latin ordo.  Tracing this word back in the Latin vulgate brings forth an interesting connection to the concept of light being order.

Job is speaking of death/sheol/hell as a land of darkness without order.  Is this the true meaning of ‘hell on earth’.  No order.  No light.  No relationship with YHWH, hence no Torah.

Job 10:21  before I go; and I shall not return; to the land of darkness, and the shadow of death;
Job 10:22  a land of obscurity, the darkness of the shadow of death, and without any order (Latin ordo, Heb. seder); even the shining is as darkness.

This is what the ‘new world order’ or ‘one world order’ is.  It is a false light/order which in reality is pure darkness.  Interestingly, Lucifer means light bearer/bringer but in reality is the bringer of darkness and lawlessness.  This is what Messiah spoke of:

Mat 6:23  But if your eye is evil, all your body is dark. If, then, the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Again, through studying the biblical definition of the word Light, we can see that YHWH=Torah=Word=Spirit=Yahshua.
Psa 43:3  O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

The entering of His Words brings forth Light

Psa 119:130  The entering of Your Word gives light, giving discernment to the simple.

As seen above, the Spirit hovering over the waters connects to the Spirit hovering over the womb of the Virgin Mary which led to her giving birth to the Messiah, the Light of the world.  His body, the ‘manchild’ is born in the same manner as seen in Revelation 12.  Revelation 12 shows the birth of Messiah and the birth of His Body/Bride/Manchild/Zion.  Zion is a people (Isaiah 51:16), Zion is a land (Psalm 48).  A city on a hill bringing forth the Light (Matthew 5:14).  The earth came forth from the waters on day 3, Messiah was resurrected on the 3rd day (Matthew 12:40), His people are raised up on the 3rd day (Hosea 6:3).  The earth comes out of the water with 7 land masses, Jerusalem is a land with 7 mountains (1 Enoch 17:6-8).  His body, pictured by the Menorah has 7 branches, the Messiah was anointed with the 7 Spirits of Elohim (Revelation 5:6; Isaiah 11:1-3).  Going back to Genesis 1:1click here and the enlarged Bet, it is certainly seen that the desire of the Most High in creating the universe was to build a house for to dwell with His bride.

It is His Spirit, His heart that units us.

What is the heart of YHWH?

The first letter of the Torah is ב, the last letter of the Torah is ל, the last letter of the TaNaKH is also ל.  Both forwards בל and in reverse לב the word for heart is seen.

BDB Definition:
1) mind, heart

The Torah/TaNaKH is the ‘heart’ of YHWH (Psalm 119:32; Isaiah 51:7; Philippians 2:8).

This concept can be applied to the entire Scriptures as well.  The first letter of the TaNaKH ב and the last letter of the New Testament Scriptures ן

בן = Son

נב = Fruit

Here it can be seen that the Torah/TaNaKH is the heart/mind of YHWH.  When combined with the New Testament the Son/ Fruit of His Mind/Heart is brought forth.

The Calendar & Feasts

The purpose of the calendar and feasts is to gather His people together to see Messiah.  YHWH designed the movements of the heavenly bodies to display this unity in Messiah as well.  The following information comes primarily from previous studies on the Biblical Calendarclick here & Shadows of Messiah – Astronomy click here.  The purpose of sharing this information is not to convince that my understanding of the calendar is perfect but to show that the Most High has put His times and seasons in place to bring people to Messiah and their movements are a shadow picture of His body walking in unity.

The word calendar comes from the Greek ‘kaleo’

Notice that the word for calendar traces back to a Greek word which means to call out a name or to bear a name. This is what the Biblical calendar is designed to do. To proclaim the Name of Yahshua, to reveal His character by shadow pictures that are done each year during the Spring and Fall feasts which reveal His first and second comings as well as the 12 ‘signs’ of the zodiac which the sun traverses through each year which tells the gospel.

This Greek word traces back to the Hebrew word ‘qara’.

From the root:

Calling upon the Name is to reveal His presence.

YHWH proclaimed the name of YHWH whenever He physically manifested Himself to Israel

Exo 33:17 And YHWH said to Moses, This thing which you have spoken I will do. For you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name.

Exo 33:18 And he said, I pray, let me see Your glory.

Exo 33:19 And He said, I will cause all My goodness to pass before your face. And I will call out the name of YHWH before your face. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.

Exo 33:20 And He said, You are not able to see My face; for no man can see Me and live.

Exo 33:21 And YHWH said, Behold, a place by Me! And you shall stand on a rock.

Exo 33:22 And as My glory is passing it will be that I will put you in a cleft of the rock; and I will cover My hand over you during My passing.

Exo 33:23 And I will remove My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face cannot be seen.

Exo 34:5 And YHWH came down in the cloud. And he placed himself there with Him, and he called on the name of YHWH.

Exo 34:6 And YHWH passed by before his face and called out: YHWH! YHWH God! Merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and great in goodness and truth,

Exo 34:7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and not leaving entirely unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, and on sons of sons, to the third and to the fourth generation.

Exo 34:8 And Moses hurried and bowed to the earth and worshiped.

קרא ‘qara’ is the word for read, the Torah is the “physical” manifestation of YHWH on the earth. When YHWH “qara’d” He physically manifested Himself, and proclaimed who/what He is. This is what the reading of the Word does. The Word proclaims the Name of the Holy One, as it is said in Revelation 19, His Name (shem- character) is the Word.

This is why the Torah is read in a cyclical fashionclick here. It follows the same principle as the sun, moon and stars in their paths. The sabbaths/feasts are called ‘miqra kodesh’, usually translated as ‘holy gatherings’. Miqra, comes from the same root as ‘qara’. The sabbaths are cyclical gatherings where His people come together to ‘qara’/ call upon His name.

Calling upon His Name is linked to Salvation (Yeshua)

Psa 91:14 Because He has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver Him; I will set Him on high because He has known My name.

Psa 91:15 He shall call on Me and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in distress; I will rescue Him and honor Him.

Psa 91:16 I will satisfy him with length of days, and will make Him see My salvation (yeshuah).

Psa 50:15 And call on Me in the day of distress, and I will save you; and you shall glorify Me.

Psa 50:23 Whoever offers thanks glorifies Me; and he who prepares a way, I will show the salvation of God to him.

Psa 18:3 I will call on YHWH, who is to be praised; and I shall be saved from my enemies.

Psa 55:16 I, even I, will call to God, and YHWH will save me.

Rom 10:13 For everyone, “whoever may call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Joel 2:32

Act 2:21 “And it shall be that everyone who shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Joel 2:28-32

The Feasts are linked to this word ‘qara’ as they are called ‘miqra qodesh’

Lev 23:2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them, The appointed feasts of YHWH which you shall proclaim (qara) , holy gatherings (miqra) , shall be these: These are My appointed seasons:

The Feasts are also described as ‘chuqqim’ (statutes). (Exodus 12:14, 24, 43)

This comes from the root:

Again, notice the relation to the heavenly bodies. The book of Job further links ‘choq’ with time.

Job 14:5 Since his days are fixed, the number of his months is with You, and You have appointed his bounds (choq) , and he cannot pass over;

Jer 31:35 So says YHWH, who gives the sun for a light by day, the laws (chuqqah) of the moon, and the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar, YHWH of Hosts is His name.

The Hebrew word חק is linked to revealing the Image of Messiah.

Eph 5:1  Then become imitators of God, as beloved children,
Eph 5:2  and walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.

The Greek word for ‘imitate’ is:

G3402
μιμητής
mimētēs
Thayer Definition:
1) an imitator
In Hebrew this word is חיקה (cheeqah)
This word comes from the root word חק which relates to the bosom or within.  The pictograph h is a picture of a wall representing a separation. The ק ‘qof’ is a picture of the sun at the horizon representing the idea of “coming together”. Combined these mean “separation and coming together”. A custom brings a people separated together.  When we imitate/follow Elohim/Yahshua we are bringing His Word to the world and bringing the world back to His bosom.

Joh 1:18  No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One declares Him.

Messiah is the Word that came from the Bosom of the Father in order to draw mankind back to Him.  This is how Messiah “imitated” Elohim.  He is the express image of the Father.
Heb 1:2  in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; through whom He indeed made the ages;
Heb 1:3  who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, Psa. 110:1
Joh 14:7  If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you do know Him, and have seen Him.
Joh 14:8  And Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.
Joh 14:9  Jesus said to him, Am I so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one seeing Me has seen the Father! And how do you say, Show us the Father?
Joh 14:10  Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The Words which I speak to you I do not speak from Myself, but the Father who abides in Me, He does the works.
Joh 14:11  Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me; but if not, believe Me because of the works themselves.
Messiah manifested the image of the Father because of what He did (His works).  He imitated the Father in order to reveal Him to the world.
Joh 5:19  Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son is not able to do anything from Himself, except what He may see the Father doing; for whatever that One does, these things also the Son does likewise.
Joh 5:20  For the Father loves the Son and shows to Him all things which He does. And He will show Him greater works than these in order that you may marvel.
So too, we are to imitate Elohim by what we do (our works) by walking in Love.
1Jn 2:5  But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.
1Jn 2:6  The one claiming to rest in Him ought so to walk himself as that One walked.
1Jn 5:1  Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been generated from God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves the one who has been born of Him.
1Jn 5:2  By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments.
1Jn 5:3  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not heavy.
1Jn 4:11  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1Jn 4:12  No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love having been perfected is in us.
1Jn 4:13  By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because of His Spirit He has given to us.

Twinkling of an eye

It is at the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump when Messiah returns and His people are resurrected into His Image that true unity will come as spoken above.  This is seen in the calendar where the new moon is at the twinkling of an eye when the sun {bridegroom} and moon {bride} are in conjunction, or ‘one.’

Psa 72:7 In His days the righteous shall flourish (bud, fly)*, and plenty of peace, till the moon is not (when there is no moon).

*Pointing to the resurrection…Yom Teruahclick here

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.

Rabbi Eliezer describes the molad(conjunction) as a “twinkling of an eye” in {The Course of the Moon p55}

The Hebrew word for blink is ‘patah’ from the root ‘pat’.

The root word comes from ‘pat’ which is the word for a woman’s privy. This links to the first birth, blinking/awakening (picture of resurrection) is linked to the 2nd birth.

Another amazing link to the 2nd birth/birth of the manchild of Revelation 12 is seen Isaiah 8

Isa 8:18 Behold, I and the children (Messiah & His Body) whom YHWH has given to me are for signs and wonders (mophat) in Israel from YHWH of Hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.

On a deeper level, this link between birth/resurrection and the molad/conjunction is seen at Golgotha during the crucifixion of Messiah. The sun was darkened (Luke 23:45). In the natural, the sun is only darkened during a solar eclipse which can only occur during the conjunction between the sun and moon. It is at this time, when the sun was darkened that the bride of Messiah was born. Just as Eve came forth from the side of Adam when he slept (death), so too the bride of Messiah came forth from His side when blood and water fell at Calvary.

On an even deeper level, this link between the molad/conjunction and birth/rebirth is seen in the word ‘chodesh’ which means renewal and is applied to the new moon/month. Chodesh comes from ‘chad.’

Chad/Echad means unity and is the picture of 2 becoming one. This happens when a man and woman come together and ‘know’ each other. This is connected with the new moon and the sun and moon coming together to become ‘one.’ The Hebrew word for the male privy is ארך ‘arak’ which is the same word for the shaft of the Menorah. On a deeper level this shows that light going into darkness is when ‘chad’ takes place. Further illustrating this is the word menorah itself. It comes from the Hebrew word נר ‘ner’ which is seen when farmers plow their fields in order to plant seed. The ground that is broken up is saturated with water and the light that reflects from the sun is what ‘ner’ means. Again light comes forth from darkness as is seen in Gen 1 and in the moon cycles. The seed is planted in the earth, which is likened to a womb according to David in Psalm 137. On another level this represents being born againclick here. The biblical definition of being born again begins when He plants His seed (His Word) in our hearts. The seed must die and be born again into a new creature. This is what baptism is about, we descend into darkness to begin our new lives and come forth again. The new moon begins at darkness then light comes forth 1-3 days later. Messiah resurrected after 3 days, His people resurrect after 3 days (Hos 6). Messiah speaks of the seed dying as a picture of resurrection (John 12:24) and Paul connects this as well (1 Cor 15).

Maimonides states that: “the new moon is defined as the ‘moment in which the sun and moon, in their uniform motion, become conjoined in a certain part of the sky, which occurs in the same way everywhere in different areas” (Sanctification of the New Moon, Bk 3, trtse. 8, p. 89, ch 6).

Tequfah

The year is found at the ‘tequfah’.  This is related to the mark of YHWH.

To find the tekufah, one must find true East.  This is done by finding the North star in the ‘little dipper.’  The two ‘dippers’ in the sky represent the two houses of Israel.

URSA MINOR. The little Bear = the lesser sheep—fold.

URSA MAJOR. The great Bear = the Fold and the Flock

The Calendar made simple

Time is related to looking to the East. This is to keep us focused on the Most High who comes to us from the East. (Ezekiel 43:2)

The year begins at the tequfah when the sun rises due east on the horizon at Spring. The next new moon starts the new year. The new moon is found by waking up just before dawn and looking at the Eastern sky where the waning crescent will appear just before the sun arises. The next day at dawn the moon will not be seen, that evening is the first day of the month.

How does one find the tequfah?

First true North must be found. This is done by finding the North star. The North star is found in the constellation of Ursa Minor (Job 9:9). It is at the tip of the ‘handle of the Little Dipper’.

Once the North star is found, take a stick and plant it in the ground. Then take another pole and place it behind the first pole making sure it is in line with the North. This pole represents South. Once you have established North and South you can look to your right and see true East. East will be at a perfect right angle to your poles.

As the sun rises on the day of the tequfah, it will be in alignment with your poles lined up in the due East direction.

The pole star has moved slightly in the last 6,000 years but it is always in the vicinity of the ‘Big Dipper’ & ‘Little Dipper.’

Qof is the pictograph of a gathering.  Peh is the pictograph of a mouth.  קף also represents a unity of voices.  A gathering to speak which is related to the above mentioned word קרא ‘qara’ which is the origin of the word calendar.

The year begins in the month of Nisan/Aviv which occurs in the Spring at the tequfah or the turn of the year when the sun has completed its orbit.

YHWH is the one who is in control of the tequfah and the movement of the constellations not man.  It is His Will, not man’s.

The Temple & the Tequfah

…it is stated in Jack Finegan’s handbook of biblical chronology that when Solomon built the temple of Yahweh at Jerusalem that it was made specifically so that the sun would shine directly through the Eastern Gate on both the vernal and autumn equinoxes so that they could never get the calendar and Holy days incorrect.

http://gurdjieffdominican.com/vernal_Equinox_07.htm

“The most significant ancient religious structure for the Jewish people (and later Christians as well), was Solomon’s temple at Jerusalem, oriented to the Equinox sunrise. Each Spring Equinox, at the time of the ancient agricultural festival of sowing, sunlight was allowed to enter the length of an open passage from the doorway of the temple over the high altar and into the Holy of Holies. It is noted that, “There is evidence … that the entrance of the sunlight on the morning of the Spring Equinox formed part of the ceremonial. The priest being in the Holy Place, the worshippers outside, with their backs to the sun, could see the high priest by the sunlight reflected from the jewels of his garment”.

The Eastern orientation of the Temple is further seen in the Holy Scriptures where Israel had turned their backs on the Temple and faced the East. This would mean that the Temple was facing East as well.

Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the house of YHWH. And, behold, at the opening of the temple of YHWH, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty five men with their backs to the temple of YHWH, and their faces eastward. And they bowed themselves eastward to the sun.

The first month of the year is known as Abib

Exo 23:15 You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I have commanded you, at the set time of the month of Abib. For in it you came out from Egypt, and they shall not appear before Me empty.

Deu 16:1 Observe the month Abib, and perform the Passover to YHWH your God. For in the month of Abib YHWH your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

Here we see that abib means something new, which continues the next generation.

Aviv comes from root av:

Here again we see that the word aviv is tracing back to something new or fresh and something that continues. This is connected to the calendar in that Spring is the new/fresh start of the year, continuing the cycle of the years anew. Just as the word indicates. Interestingly, the pictograph means a pole. In order to find the equinoxes in ancient times a pole was used.

Pages 73-74 of Pannekoek state, “The Babylonians, according to Greek testimony, used a vertical pole for measuring shadow length; thus they could determine the moments of solstice and, as medium points between the solstices, the moments of vernal and autumnal equinoxes.”

http://www.astro.uu.nl/~strous/AA/en/antwoorden/zonpositie.html

At the meridian transit of the Sun,

1. the Sun is due north or due south (depending on your location), so the shadow of a vertical pole points straight south or north. If you mark a line from the bottom of the pole that goes straight north or south, then the meridian transit occurs when the shadow of the pole falls on that line.

2. the Sun is highest in the sky, so a vertical pole casts the shortest shadow. When the shadow is shortest, then the meridian transit is there.

The first method is better than the second, because the length of the shadow changes the slowest around the time of meridian transit, but the direction of the shadow changes the fastest around the time of meridian transit.

אביב Aviv

אביב comes from the root אב (Father). Aviv is referring to the next generation of the crop which came from the parent. Aviv points to the Messiah who came forth from the Father (John 8:42; 16:28) and His body that comes forth from Him (John 17:18; 20:21).

Yahshua in Greek = 888

888 is also equivalent to the Hebrew phrases ‘yeshot elohaynu’ (Salvation of our God) and ‘hashamayim misparim kavod El’ (The heavens declare the Glory of El)

The phrase ‘the heavens declare the Glory of El’ is found in Psalm 19:1 which describes the circuit (tequfah) of the sun.
Sun – 8 – Connection
The word for 8 in Hebrew is:
This comes from the root:
The root of 8 comes from ‘shem’ (name/character) which is the same root as sun ‘shemesh.’
Further connecting the sun & the number eight is the word oil. The Holy Spirit is likened to oil (1Samuel 16:13; Zechariah 4:2-3; Revelation 4:5). The sun moves upon the spirit/wind (Ecclesiastes 1:5-6).
רח is the root of the word ‘Ruach’, the Spirit.
The sun’s cycle makes an interesting form when it moves throughout the sky during the year. This phenomenon is known as the ‘analemma.’ If you photographed the sun once a week at the same time of day for an entire year, you would have a photo of the analemma, the sun’s apparent path on the sky over the course of a year, which looks like a figure-eight.

The Sun is moving in a continual ‘figure eight’ path.

The following pictures are taken from a program called Stellarium. These 4 pictures show the alignments of the sun, moon and stars in the year 2010 at the 2 equinoxes, and solstices at sunset in Jerusalem.

At the Spring Tequfah (‘equinox’)

At the Summer Tequfah

At the Autumn Tequfah

At the Winter Tequfah

Aviv is the first month of the year in the Biblical Calendar (Exodus 12:2). Aviv happens after the sun makes it’s full revolution/circuit (tekupha) which is seen in the analemma figure above. Hence, the new year (aviv) starts when the figure eight is complete.

This analemma cycle is seen in the Scriptures.

Ecc 1:5 The sun also arises, and the sun goes even panting to its place; it arises there again.

Ecc 1:6 The wind goes toward the south, and turning around to the north; the wind is going around and around. And the wind returns on its circuits.

Septuagint (LXX)

Ecc 1:5 And the sun arises, and the sun goes down and draws toward its place;

Ecc 1:6 arising there it proceeds southward, and goes round toward the north. The wind goes round and round, and the wind returns to its circuits.

Vulgate (Japhet translation)

The sun rises and sets and returns to its place. It rises there, goes to the south and turns about to the north. As it circles the world around goes the spirit, and upon its circuit returns.

John Gill commentary

Ecc 1:6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north,…. The word “wind” is not in this clause in the original text, but is taken from the next, and so may be rendered, “it goeth towards the south”, &c. that is, the sun (x) before mentioned, which as to its diurnal and nocturnal course in the daytime goes towards the south, and in the night towards the north; and as to its annual course before the winter solstice it goes to the south, and before the summer solstice to the north, as interpreters observe. And the Targum not only interprets this clause, but even the whole verse, of the sun, paraphrasing the whole thus,

“it goes all the side of the south in the daytime, and goes round to the side of the north in the night, by the way of the abyss; it goes its circuit, and comes to the wind of the south corner in the revolution of Nisan and Tammuz; and by its circuit it returns to the wind of the north corner in the revolution of Tisri and Tebet; it goes out of the confines of the east in the morning, and goes into the confines of the west in the evening.”

Adam Clarke commentary

Ecc 1:6

“The wind is continually whirling about, and the wind returneth upon its whirlings.”

It is plain, from the clause which I have restored to the fifth verse, that the author refers to the approximations of the sun to the northern and southern tropics, viz., of Cancer and Capricorn.

All the versions agree in applying the first clause of the sixth verse to the sun, and not to the wind. Our version alone has mistaken the meaning. My old MS. Bible is quite correct:

The sunne riisith up, and goth doun, and to his place turnith agein; and there agein riising, goth about bi the south, and then agein to the north.

1. Day and night, marked by the appearance of the sun above the horizon; proceeding apparently from east to west; where he sinks under the horizon, and appears to be lost during the night.

2. His annual course through the twelve signs of the zodiac, when, from the equinoctial, he proceeds southward to the tropic of Capricorn; and thence turneth about towards the north, till he reaches the tropic of Cancer; and so on.

The sowing and harvest cycle of ancient Israel was based upon the movements of the heavenly bodies.

Wheel of the Stars – Andrew Gabriel Roth pg 61

“The use of constellations, along with the solar cycle, coordinating the rising and the setting of the sun with a given star or group of stars was exactly the way Adam, Noah, and Abraham also times their planting and harvest seasons.”

Philo – On Creation 1:116

(116) And the sun, the ruler of the day, making two equinoxes every year, both in spring and autumn. The spring equinox in the constellation of Aries, and the autumnal one in Libra, gives the most evident demonstration possible of the divine dignity of the number seven. For each of the equinoxes takes place in the seventh month, at which time men are expressly commanded by law to celebrate the greatest and most popular and comprehensive festivals; since it is owing to both these seasons, that all the fruits of the earth are engendered and brought to perfection; the fruit of corn, and all other things which are sown, being owing to the vernal equinox; and that of the vine, and of all the other plants which bear hard berries, of which there are great numbers, to the autumnal one.

Gen 8:22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Adam Clarke commentary

Gen 8:22

While the earth remaineth, seed-time and harvest, etc. – There is something very expressive in the original, עד כל ימי הארץ od col yemey haarets, until all the Days of the earth; for God does not reckon its duration by centuries, and the words themselves afford a strong presumption that the earth shall not have an endless duration.

Seed-time and harvest – It is very probable that the seasons, which were distinctly marked immediately after the deluge, are mentioned in this place; but it is difficult to ascertain them. Most European nations divide the year into four distinct parts, called quarters or seasons; but there are six divisions in the text, and probably all intended to describe the seasons in one of these postdiluvian years, particularly in that part of the globe, Armenia, where Noah was when God gave him, and mankind through him, this gracious promise. From the Targum of Jonathan on this verse we learn that in Palestine their seed-time was in September, at the autumnal equinox; their harvest in March, at the vernal equinox; that their winter began in December, at the solstice; and their summer at the solstice in June.

Job 37:6 For He says to the snow, Fall on the earth; also to the shower of rain, and the shower of heavy rains.

Job 37:7 He seals up the hand of every man so that all men may know His work.

Job 37:8 Then the beast goes into its lair, and they stay in their dens.

Job 37:9 Out of the storeroom comes the tempest, and cold from scattering winds.

Kiel & Delitzsch commentary

The ל of לַשֶּׁלֶג influences Job_37:6 also. The Hebr. name for rain, גֶּשֶׁם (cogn. with Chald. גשׁם, Arab. gism, a body), denotes the rain collectively. The expression Job_37:6 is exceeded in Job_37:6, where מִטְרֹות does not signify rain-drops (Ew.), but, like the Arab. amtâr, rain-showers. The wonders of nature during the rough season (חֹרֶף, סְתָיו, Son_2:11), between the autumnal and vernal equinoxes, are meant; the rains after the autumnal equinox (the early rain), which begin the season, and the rains before the vernal equinox (the late rain, Zec_10:1), which close it, with the falls of snow between, which frequently produce great desolation, especially the proper winter with its frosty winds and heavy showers, when the business of the husbandmen as of the nomads is brought to a stand-still, and every one retreats to his house or seeks a sheltering corner.

Adam Clarke commentary

Job 37:9

Out of the south cometh the whirlwind – See the note on Job_9:9. What is rendered south here, is there rendered chambers. Mr. Good translates here, the utmost zone. The Chaldee: – “From the supreme chamber the commotion shall come; and from the cataracts of Arcturus the cold.”

Aviv, the Covenant, and signs/seals

When YHWH cut the covenant with Abraham on Passover, He walked between the pieces of the sacrificed animals as a burning torch. In ancient times when a covenant was cut, the two covenant partners walked through the halves of the split animal(s) in a ‘figure eight’. They would lay each half to the side of each other and stand in between the two bloody halves of flesh, with their backs to each other. Then they would walk right through the bloody halves, making a figure eight, and come back to a stop facing each other.

This links back to the analemma and the sun as it was a fiery torch that passed through the pieces, or made the figure eight. This shows that the movement of the sun through the sky is a constant reminder of the covenant. This is seen in Jeremiah 31:31-37; 33:14-26)

Gen 15:17 And it happened, the sun had gone down, and it was dark. Behold! A smoking furnace and a torch of fire that passed between those pieces!

Circumcision, a sign of the covenant, is made on the 8th day (Genesis 17:11-14)

Rom 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Circumcision pictures baptism & resurrection (Ezekiel 11:19-20; 36:26-27; Romans 2:29; Colossians 2:11-13)

What is the faith that Abraham had?

Gen 15:5 And He brought him outside and said, Look now at the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

Gen 15:6 And he believed in YHWH. And He counted it to him for righteousness.

Notice that Abraham’s faith was in the Word of Elohim, revealed through the stars being as His Seed.

In Hebrew, Astronomy is תכונה

תכונה is only used one time in the Scriptures:

Job 23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find Him, I would come into His seat;

This is speaking of the Throne of Elohim.

Keil and Delitszch commentary

If he but knew how to reach Him (God), could attain to His throne; תְּכוּנָה signifies the setting up, i.e., arrangement (Eze_43:11) or establishment (Nah_2:10) of a dwelling, and the thing itself which is set out and established, here of the place where God’s throne is established. (everywhere from כּוּן, not from תָּכַן)

The Scriptures speak of the heavens as His throne Matthew 5:34; Isaiah 66:1; Psalm 11:4.

תכונה comes from the word כון which means a foundation or something that is firm, something that is orderly.

Psa 103:19 YHWH has prepared (kun) His throne in Heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.

Psa 8:3 When I look upon Your heavens, the work of Your fingers: the moon and the stars which You have fixed (kun);

Psa 8:4 what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him?

תכונה comes from the parent root:

Notice this word is associated with a seed opening and rising out of the ground. This is a picture of the resurrection and Messiahclick here. The seed & the stars are linked through Yisrael (Genesis 15:5; 22:17; 26:4)

Messiah = Yisrael

Isa 49:3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

Isa 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.

This prophecy is speaking of Messiah. Messiah is the Servant Israel.

Isa 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes(H7626) of Jacob, and to restore the preserved(v’netsri-Netsarim=followers of Messiah) of Israel.I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation(H3444yeshua) unto the end of the earth.

Aviv is linked with the sign/seal/mark of YHWH

Exo 13:4 Today, in the month of Abib, you are going out.

Exo 13:5 And it shall be when YHWH brings you into the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, which He swore to your fathers to give to you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you shall do this service in this month.

Exo 13:6 Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day keep a feast to YHWH.

Exo 13:7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten the seven days. And leavened bread for you shall not be seen; yea, no leaven shall be seen among you in all your boundaries.

Exo 13:8 And you shall tell your son in that day, saying, It is because of what YHWH did for me when I came out from Egypt. Exo 13:9 And it shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and a memorial between your eyes, so that a Law of YHWH may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand YHWH brought you out from Egypt.

Exo 13:10 And you shall keep this ordinance at its appointed time, from days to days.

It is during this month of Aviv, and in particular the 7 days of Unleavened Bread, that the firstfruits offering was offered. This was of the barley, which too is a picture of Messiah. The English word barley traces back to the Hebrew word ‘bar’ which means Son (Psalm 2:12). The etymology of the word barley also is related to the body (ie the body of Messiah). Barley – (from Proto Germanic. *bariz, *baraz) + -lic “body, like.”

Notice also that the pictographic meaning of בר is ‘family of heads.’ This is significant, in that one of the words in Hebrew for ‘firstfruit’ is ‘resheit’ which comes from ‘rosh’ which means a head. Bar (son) = a family of heads or firstfruits. This is what the Yisrael of Elohim is.
Jer 2:3 Israel was holy to YHWH , the first fruits ( ראשׁית H7225) of His increase. All that devour him become guilty; evil shall come on them, declares YHWH.
Firstfruits

Lev 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

Going back to Exodus 13, notice that the next verses link the firstborn to Passover & Aviv

Exo 13:11 And it shall be when YHWH brings you into the land of the Canaanite, as He swore to you and to your fathers, and gives it to you,

Exo 13:12 you shall set apart to YHWH every one opening the womb, and every firstling, the offspring of animals which are yours; the males are YHWH’s.

Exo 13:13 And every firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a flock animal. And if you do not redeem, you shall break its neck. And every first-born of men among your sons you shall redeem.

Aviv linked with the offering of firstfruits (firstborn)

Lev 2:14 And if you bring near a food offering of firstfruits to YHWH, fresh ears (אביב aviv) roasted with fire, grains from a garden, you shall bring near your firstfruits for a food offering.

The firstborn was given on the 8th day

Exo 22:29 You shall not delay giving the fullness of your crops and the juices of your vintage. You shall give to Me the first-born of your sons.

Exo 22:30 So you shall do to your oxen, to your sheep: it shall be seven days with its mother; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me.

Aviv & the color green

Strong’s Concordance

H24

אביב

‘âbı̂yb

aw-beeb’

From an unused root (meaning to be tender); green, that is a young ear of grain; hence the name of the month Abib or Nisan: – Abib, ear, green ears of corn.

Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth (dasha) grass (deshe), the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

In Messiah in the Torah Genesis 1:9-13, it is seen that the earth bringing forth (dasha) is linked to birth/rebirth/resurrection. Dasha (bringing forth) is the same Hebrew word as grass (deshe).

This links grass with birth and resurrection

Deshe is also translated as green

Psa 23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me to waters of rest;

Here it is seen that the color green, and in particular green grass sprouting in the spring (Aviv) is linked with the resurrection & rebirth.

Green – Karpas

Another one of the words translated as green in the Scriptures is ‘karpas’ (Esther 1:6).

Those who have celebrated Passover with a traditional seder are familiar with this word. Pesach is kept during the month of Aviv. Karpas is the point of the meal where the Karpas (usually parsley) is dipped in saltwater, symbolically representing resurrection and passing through the Yam Suf. This was a picture of baptism and resurrection.

1Co 10:1 And I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the Sea.

1Co 10:2 And all were baptized to Moses in the cloud, and in the Sea,

1Co 10:3 and all ate the same spiritual food.

1Co 10:4 And all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of the spiritual rock following, and that Rock was Christ.

The English word green comes from the Old English ‘growan’ which means to grow and also has the sense of fresh or new, as in a ‘greenhorn.’

Aviv – Ear

The word aviv is translated as ‘ear’ in two verses of the Scripture (Exodus 9:31; Leviticus 2:14). This word in English comes from the Old English ‘ear’ which means a ‘spike, ear of grain.’ It traces back to Greek word ‘akoste’ which means barley.

There is another interesting connection between Aviv on earth and Aviv in heaven in the star Spica. Spica is a Latin word which means ‘ear of grain’ and corresponds to the Greek word stakhys. This is the origin of the English word ‘spike’ which is related to the English word ‘ear’ mentioned above.

Spica is the star in the hand of the constellation Bethulah (Virgo) and corresponds to the Hebrew word ‘Tsemach’ (the BRANCH Isaiah 4:2; Jeremiah 23:5,6; Zechariah 3:8; 6:12). Tsemach has the meaning of a sprouting plant.

The Messiah is likened to a plant rising from the ground

Isa 11:1 And a Shoot goes out from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch will bear fruit out of his roots.

Isa 11:10 And it shall be in that day, the Root of Jesse stands as a banner of peoples; nations shall seek to Him; and His resting place shall be glory.

Isa 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of YHWH revealed?

Isa 53:2 For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor magnificence that we should see Him; nor form that we should desire Him.

Zec 6:12 And speak to him, saying, So says YHWH of Hosts, saying, Behold! The Man {Yehoshua} whose name is THE BRANCH*! And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of YHWH.

*This is capitalized in most English versions of the Scriptures because it is a direct reference to the Messiah. The word used here is ‘Tsemach’ and is used 5 times in reference to the Messiah in Scripture.

Isa 4:2 In that day the Branch of YHWH will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth for pride and for glory for the survivors of Israel.

Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, says YHWH, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and He shall do justice and righteousness in the earth.

Jer 23:6 In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, YHWH our Righteousness.

Jer 33:15 In those days, and at that time, I will cause a Branch of Righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land.

Jer 33:16 In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name that shall be called on her: YHWH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Zec 3:9 For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the BRANCH. For behold, the stone which I have given before Joshua, on the one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, says YHWH of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

The New Testament further links the BRANCH (tsemach) to the heavenly bodies.

Luk 1:78 through the tender heart of mercy of our God, in which the Dayspring from on high will visit us,

Robertson’s Word Pictures

The dayspring from on high (anatolē ex hupsous). Literally, rising from on high, like the rising sun or stars (Isa_60:19). The word is used also of a sprouting plant or branch (Jer_23:5; Zec_6:12)

Notice that Spica is in line with Arcturus. Arcturus is mentioned above in Job 38 (ayish).

Bright star Arcturus is a harbinger of spring

http://earthsky.org/tonight/star-arcturus-a-sparkling-harbinger-of-spring

“Arcturus’ appearance in the evening sky is a welcome sign in our northern climes, because it heralds the coming of the spring equinox, or first day of spring….Arcturus, like any star, rises 4 minutes earlier every day. Soon, the earlier-rising Arcturus will first beam at dusk, instead of nightfall or evening. Around the time that happens, spring will return to our northern hemisphere!”

Job 39:1 Do you know the time when the wild goats of the rock bear? Do you observe the calving of deer?

Job 39:2 Can you tell the months they fulfill; or do you know the time for their bearing

John Gill commentary

Job 39:2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfil?…. Which some understand both of wild goats and hinds. Common goats fulfil five months, they conceive in November, and bring forth in March, as Pliny (f) observes; but how many the wild goats of the rock fulfil is not said by him or any other I know of: the same writer says (g) of hinds, that they go eight months;

or knowest thou the time when they bring forth? naturalists (h) tell us, that the hinds conceive after the rise of the star Arcturus, which rises eleven days before the autumnal equinox; so that they conceive in September; and as they go eight months, they bring forth in April; but then the exact time to a day and hour is not known. Besides, who has fixed the time for their bringing forth, and carries them in it through so many dangers and difficulties? None but the Lord himself. Now if such common things in nature were not known perfectly by Job, how should he be able to search into and find out the causes and reasons of God’s providential dealings with men, or what is in the womb of Providence?

Interestingly, it is during Spring around the time of early April that Spica rises above the horizon as the sun sets (The Friendly Stars pg 25).

Aviv – New

In the Septuagint Aviv is translated as ‘neon’ which means new. The English word ‘new’ traces back to this Greek word neos

Exo 13:4 ἐν γὰρ τῇ σήμερον ὑμεῖς ἐκπορεύεσθε ἐν μηνὶ τῶν νέων.

Feasts & Holydays

His Sabbaths are the sign of the marriage covenant.

Eze 20:12  And I also gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am YHWH who sets them apart.
Eze 20:20  And keep My sabbaths holy, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am YHWH your God.

The Hebrew word for the Biblical Feasts/Sabbaths is moedim.  This comes from the same root word עד ‘ad’ as יעד  ‘ya’ad’ which is translated as appointment, assemble, and betroth.

The Feasts are ‘wedding rehearsals.’

Lev 23:4  These are the feasts {H4150 moed} of the LORD, even holy convocations which ye shall proclaim in their seasons {H4150 moed}.

The are multiple words for time in Hebrew, the most used is עת (et) which pictographically means to ‘see the cross’, and in ancient Hebrew thinking meant to ‘see the mark.’  What is this ‘mark’?  It is the sun setting (death) and rising (resurrection) above the horizon.

עת corresponds to the Greek word καιρός (kairos) through comparing Daniel 7:25 & Revelation 12:6, 14.

In the Septuagint, kairos is used to translate numerous words but one of which is very interesting.  The word ‘tor’ due to its relation to the concept of ‘the mark.’

From this root we get ta’ar and to’ar.  These words mean form, outline or border.

‘Toar’ is from the same root ‘tor’ as Torah

The word ‘horizon’ is also linked to the mark. Horizon comes from the Greek word ‘horizo’ which is translated as ‘marked out’ in the book of Romans.

Rom 1:1  Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to the gospel of God,
Rom 1:2  which He promised before through His prophets in the holy Scriptures,
Rom 1:3  concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh,
Rom 1:4
who was marked out the Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

The meaning of this word corresponds to the Hebrew word Tor.  It is only through the resurrection that we will be formed into His image.

This can further be seen through the a connection to the Aramaic word ‘ruoshma’.

2Co 3:7  Now if the ministration of death was engraved (aetrashmat)* upon stones in writing, and was so glorious that the children of Israel could not look on the face of Moses, on account of the glory upon his face which vanished away;

*Here we see this word being linked to the Torah which was engraved on stone.  In the human body the ‘word’ is engraved on stone (DNA)…

Rom 8:29 He knew them in advance and he marked (Gk predestined) them with the likeness of the image of his Son that he might be the first-born among many brethren.

Again the connection to the mark and the image.  The image of the Son vs. the image of the beast.
Eph 1:4  according as he had previously chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we might be holy and without blame before him; and, in love, predestinated (Gk chosen) us for himself;

The chosen peopleclick here are marked with the mark of YHWH…those who keep the Torah and the testimony (belief in Messiah Yahshua Revelation 12:17).  Those with the mark of the beast are those who reject Messiah Yahshua and according to the Scriptures are already antichrists (1Joh 2:18).

Eph 1:11 By whom we have been chosen, as he had marked (Gk. predestinated) us from the beginning so he wanted to carry out everything according to the good judgment of his will:

This connection of predestination and being marked is connected by the heavenly books.
Psa 56:8  You have counted my wandering; O put my tear in Your bottle; are they not in Your Book?

Psa 139:16  Your eyes saw my embryo; and in Your book all my members were written the days they were formed, and not one was yet among them. *
Mal 3:16  Then those fearing YHWH spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And YHWH gave attention and heard. And a Book of Remembrance was written before Him for those who feared YHWH, and for those esteeming His name.

The meaning of horizo is linked with the above definition of ‘mark.’  It means to mark out a boundary.  The English word horizon comes from this Greek word.

The sun is a shadow picture of Messiah.

The sun, ‘shemesh’, comes from the root word ‘shem’, the name.  As mentioned above His Name = His Word.  As the sun moves through it courses, it teaches the Gospel as seen in the above section.

In the Scriptures, the sun is likened to YHWH/Yahshua.

Mal 4:2  But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise up, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall.

YHWH & Yahshua are likened unto the sun

Psa 84:11  For YHWH God is a sun and shield; YHWH will give grace and glory; He will withhold nothing good from those who walk in integrity.

Psa 19:4  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Psa 19:5  Which
is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Mat 9:15  And Jesus said to them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will have been taken from them, and then they will fast.
Isa 9:2  The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light. The ones who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, light has shone on them.
Isa 49:6  And He said, It is too little that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light of the nations, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.
Isa 60:1  Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen on you!
Isa 60:2  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But YHWH shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.
Isa 60:3  And nations shall walk to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawning.
Joh 8:12  Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

The sun is the greater light ‘ma’or’ which rules the day.  Messiah applies this to Himself

Joh 11:9  Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of the world.
Joh 9:4  It behooves Me to work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night comes when no one is able to work.
Joh 9:5  While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.

Messiah also applies the term ‘light of the world’ to His bride.  Interestingly Song of Songs 6:9-10 applies the moon and sun to His bride as well.

Mat 5:14  You are the light of the world. A city situated on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Mat 5:15  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under the grain measure, but on the lampstand; and it shines for all those in the house.
Mat 5:16  So let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father in Heaven.

There are 12 hours in the day (John 11:9) which again points to the body of Messiah, ie the 12 tribes.  The Hebrew word for hour is ‘sha’ah’ which comes from the watching of the arch of the sun to determine the hour.  This is the origin of the gnomon/sundial which was mentioned above by Keil & Delitzsch (gnomen = nomen/name).

Interestingly, ‘sh’ah’ (hour) is a cognate of ‘yeshuah’ (salvation).  Both words come from the root ‘sha’ which refers to a shepherd watching over his flock.  On a deeper level, it is pointing to Messiah saving His bride at the ‘midnight cry’ (Matthew 25:6; Exodus 12:29).  The calendar is based upon the movements of the heavenly bodies which points directly to Messiah.  The cycles of the feasts throughout the year points to Him, the cycles of the Jubilees, and even the hours of our day point to Him.  All was created to reveal His Glory.

Sir 42:16  The sun that giveth light looketh upon all things, and the work thereof is full of the glory of the Lord.

The word ‘sha’ is referring to the shepherd watching over His flock.  This relates to another Hebrew word ‘ahn’:

The English word ‘eye’ comes from this Hebrew word.  Notice how these words that are related to the sun also are related to watching and the eye.  This is one of numerous reasons why the heathen worshiped the ‘sun god’.  This is why the sun god is portrayed with an ‘all seeing eye’ as well as being related to the triangle/pyramid, which is in the same shape as the ancient Hebrew letter dalet, which is the origin of the Greek letter delta.  Dalet has the gematria of 4 which relates to the 4th dimension of time, of which the sun is intimately connected.

The sun, moon and stars were created to be shadow pictures of Messiah.  As with all shadows of Messiah, the perversion/counterfeit of those pictures leads to the antichristclick here.  The Hebrew word for owl, ‘ya’anah’, also comes from this root ‘ahn’ and is used throughout heathen cultures as a symbol of the goddess/moon as light of the nightclick here.

The sun is further connected to the eye through the Hebrew word for the eyelashes.

Each blink/twinkling (1 Corinthians 15:52) of our eyes is a picture of the resurrection where we are gathered together to our Lord.  The root of the word ‘aphaph’ is ‘aph’ which is a picture of a bird covering its chicks with its wings (Deuteronomy 32:10-11; Psalm 91:1-9).  Each day when the sun rises it is a picture of the resurrection as well (Malachi 4:2). In Hebrew the word for dawn is shachar from the root shach which means the pit.  When the sun sets it is a picture of death/going into the pit, when it arises it is a picture of resurrection.  When man awakens, his eyes are opened from darkness and sleep which is a picture of death (Job 14:13-15; Daniel 12:2-3; John 11:11-14).

1Co 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

The word ‘twinkling’ here is from the Greek:

G4493
ῥιπή
rhipē
Thayer Definition:
1) a throw, stroke, beat
2) a moment of time

This word is used in the Septuagint to translate the Hebrew word ‘shachaq’ which means to beat/pound/pulverize to powder (Genesis 3:19) and comes from the root ‘shaq’ which means the ‘pit’.  ‘Shaq’ is the root of the word ‘shaqar’ which means the ‘dawn’.  Again, the imagery of the blinking/twinkling of the eyes showing the picture of the resurrection of the dead.

The 2nd coming of Messiah and the resurrection of the dead is pictured by the rising of the sun each morning.

Psa 110:3  Your people shall have willingness in the day of Your might; in the majesties of holiness; from the womb of the dawn, to You is the dew of Your youth.

Psa 30:4  Sing praises to YHWH, O saints of His; and give thanks to the memory of His holiness.
Psa 30:5  For His anger is only a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure in the evening
(Tribulation period), but joy comes in the morning (2nd coming & resurrection).

This concept of tribulation being darkness and the coming of Messiah in the morning is further seen in Psalm 46, which is clearly set during the tribulation/kingdom time period.

Psa 46:1  To the chief musician. For the sons of Korah; A song. For the Virgins. God is our refuge and strength, very much found to be a help in distresses.
Psa 46:2  On account of this we will not fear when the earth changes and when mountains are slipping into the heart of the seas.
Psa 46:3  Let its waters foam; let the mountains shake in its swelling. Selah.
Psa 46:4  There is a river, its channels gladden the city of God, the holy tabernacles of the Most High.
Psa 46:5  God is in the midst of her; she shall not be shaken;
God will help her at the turning of the morning.
Psa 46:6  The nations roared; kingdoms were shaken; He gave forth His voice and the earth melted.
Psa 46:7  YHWH of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is a refuge for us. Selah.
Psa 46:8  Come, behold the works of YHWH, who sets ruins on the earth,
Psa 46:9  causing wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts apart spears; He burns the chariots in the fire.
Psa 46:10  Be still and know that I am God! I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.
Psa 46:11  YHWH of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is a refuge for us. Selah.

Two eyes (2 births), first the natural & then the spiritual.

Isa 8:18  Behold, I and the children(Messiah & His Body) whom YHWH has given to me are for signs and wonders (mophat) in Israel from YHWH of Hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.

As seen in the study ‘Shadows of Messiah – Geology’click here, the earth is a picture of the body of Messiah which is likened to an eyeball.

Yisrael is a people & a land which YHWH looks upon at all times which is a microcosm of all the earth.

Talmud – Derech Eretz Zuta 9
‘The world is like a human eyeball.  The white of the eye is the ocean surrounding the world, the iris is the continent, The pupil is Jerusalem, And the image in the pupil is the Holy Temple.

Deu 11:11  But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
Deu 11:12  A land which the LORD thy God careth for:
the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

Rev 5:6  And I saw, and behold, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, was a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, having been sent out into all the earth.

Each time we blink (aphaph -from aph, shadow of His wings) it is a picture of being overshadowed by the Most High, where the tears renew the eye, this is a picture of baptism and being born againclick here.  This concept is further seen in the Psalms where the resurrection is connected with renewed sight.

Psa 17:15  As for me, in righteousness I will look upon Your face; when I awaken, I shall be satisfied by Your image.

The sun, the eye, and the Son are all linked through the English etymology of the word ‘sun’.

The English proper noun sun developed from Old English sunne (around 725, attested in Beowulf), and may be related to south (more on this below on the section on directions). Cognates to English sun appear in other Germanic languages, including Old Frisian sunne, sonne (“sun”), Old Saxon sunna, Middle Dutch sonne, modern Dutch zon, Old High German sunna, modern German Sonne, Old Norse sunna, and Gothic sunnō. All Germanic terms for the Sun stem from Proto-Germanic *sunnōn.

The word ‘sun’ also traces back to the Latin word ‘sol.’

The English word ‘son’ has similar etymological roots to ‘sun’.  Interestingly, it traces back the Old Irish meaning to give birth, as has been discussed above in connection with the blinking of the eye, awakening and the rising of the sun in the morning.

Astronomy & the Word

The movements of the heavenly bodies reveals His Word.

In Hebrew, Astronomy is תכונה

תכונה is only used one time in the Scriptures:

Job 23:3  Oh that I knew where I might find Him, I would come into His seat;

This is speaking of the Throne of Elohim.

Keil and Delitszch commentary

If he but knew how to reach Him (God), could attain to His throne; תְּכוּנָה(everywhere from כּוּן, not from תָּכַן) signifies the setting up, i.e., arrangement (Eze_43:11) or establishment (Nah_2:10) of a dwelling, and the thing itself which is set out and established, here of the place where God’s throne is established.

Psa 8:3  When I look upon Your heavens, the work of Your fingers: the moon and the stars which You have fixed (kun);
Psa 8:4  what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him?

תכונה comes from the parent root:

The Seed = the Word

Luk 8:11  And this is the parable: The seed is the Word of God.

The Seed = Messiah

Gal 3:16  But the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed (it does not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” which is Christ). Genesis 3:15; 21:12; 22:18, Rom. 9:6; Heb. 11:18

Messiah = Yisrael

Isa 49:6  And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes(H7626) of Jacob, and to restore(shub…lead back in repentance) the preserved(v’netsri-Netsarim=followers of Messiah) of Israel.I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation(H3444yeshua) unto the end of the earth.

Seed= Messiah= Yisrael = Sun, Moon & Stars

Psa 89:1  A Poem of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of YHWH forever; I will speak with my mouth Your faithfulness to all generations.
Psa 89:2  For I have said, Mercy shall be built up forever; You shall establish Your faithfulness in the heavens.
Psa 89:3  I have cut a covenant with My elect; I have sworn to David My servant,
Psa 89:4  I will establish your Seed forever, and build up your throne to all generations. Selah.

Psa 89:5  And the heavens shall thank Your wonders, O YHWH; also Your faithfulness in the assembly of the saints.

Psa 89:29  And I have established his Seed forever, and His throne as the days of the heavens.

Psa 89:35  Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.
Psa 89:36  His Seed shall be forever, and
his throne as the sun before Me.
Psa 89:37
Like the moon, it shall be forever; and a faithful witness in the sky. Selah.

Jeremiah links the covenant/Word with the sun, moon and stars (Jeremiah 31:31-37; 33:14-26)

Joseph’s dream links the heavenly bodies to Yisrael

Gen 37:9  And he dreamed still another dream, and told it to his brothers. And he said, Behold, I have dreamed another dream: And, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars were bowing themselves to me.
Gen 37:10  And he told it to his father, and to his brothers. And his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream which you have dreamed? Shall we indeed come to bow ourselves to the earth to you, I, your mother, and your brothers?

His Glory

Psa 8:1  To the chief musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David. O YHWH, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth; You have set Your glory above (על – above/on/upon)the heavens!

His Glory is seen in the heavens…What is the Glory of YHWH?  The Lamb of Elohim (Revelation 21:23).  The Hebrew word for Glory is ‘kavod’ which comes from the root ‘kab’ which means a star:

Psa 8:2  Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings, You have ordained strength, because of the ones distressing You, to cause the enemy and the avenger to cease.
Psa 8:3  When I look upon Your heavens, the work of Your fingers: the moon and the stars which You have fixed;

The work of His fingers is linked to His Word

Exo 31:18  And when He finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave to Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

Psa 33:6  Through the Word of YHWH the heavens were made; and all their host were made by the breath of His mouth.

Psa 19:1  To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens are recounting* (saphar) the glory of God, and the expanse proclaiming His handiwork.

*The word translated here as recounting/declare is from the Hebrew saphar which is the word used to translate ‘scroll.’

The Scriptures connect the heavens to a scroll
Rev 6:14  And the heaven departed like a scroll being rolled up. And every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Isa 34:4  And all the host of the heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together like a scroll. Then all their host shall droop, as a leaf drooping from the vine, and as the drooping from a fig tree.
66 words in these two verses…66 books in the Scriptures

Abraham was told to ‘tell’/ count the stars.  The word translated as tell/count is saphar

Gen 15:5  And He brought him outside and said, Look now at the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

Gal 3:16  But the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed (it does not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” which is Christ).

Paul equates the heavens with the Word/Gospel
Rom 10:16  But not all obeyed the gospel, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”Isa. 53:1
Rom 10:17  Then faith is of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.
Rom 10:18  But I say, Did they not hear? Yes, rather, “into all the earth their voice went out, and to the ends of the world their words.”
LXX-Psa. 18:5; MT-Psa. 19:4

Psa 19:1  To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens are recounting the glory (Messiah is the Glory Revelation 21:23)of God, and the expanse proclaiming His handiwork.

Psa 19:2  Day by day they pour forth (a flowing out from within, related to נבא/prophecy) speech (omer from root מל/word), and night to night reveals (חוה this is the name of ‘Eve’ the bride) knowledge.

On a deeper level verse 2 is stating that the sun, moon and stars and their courses are prophesying the Word and revealing knowledge of the bride.  The movement of the heavenly bodies teach the Gospel of Messiah and His bride (the Seed)
Psa 19:3  There is no speech, nor are there words where their voice is not heard.

Psa 19:4  Their voice is gone out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.

Psa 19:5  and he comes forth like a bridegroom from his canopy. He rejoices like a hero to run a race;
Psa 19:6  his going forth from the end of the heavens, and his orbit to their ends; and nothing is hidden from his heat.

Notice the following verses in Psalm 19 speak of the Torah, linking the Scroll in heaven to the Scroll on earth

Psa 19:7  The Law of YHWH is perfect, converting the soul. The Testimony of YHWH is sure, making the simple wise.
Psa 19:8  The precepts of YHWH are right, rejoicing the heart. The commands of YHWH are pure, giving light to the eyes.
Psa 19:9  The fear of YHWH is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of YHWH are true, they are righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10  They are more precious than gold, even much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and drops from the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11  Also Your servant is warned by them; in keeping of them is great reward.

The heavens are a parable

Gen 1:18  and to rule over the day and over the night; and to divide between the light and the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

The word translated as ‘rule’ here is from the Hebrew ‘mashal’ which means to rule, compare, a proverb or a parable.

The Word is likened to a parable

Psa 78:1  A Lesson of Asaph. O my people, listen to my law; bow your ears to the words of my mouth.
Psa 78:2  I will open my mouth in a parable; I will pour forth dark sayings of old,
Mat 13:34  Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the crowds, and He did not speak to them without a parable,
Mat 13:35  so that was fulfilled that spoken through the prophet, saying: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will speak out things hidden from the foundation of the world.”
Psa. 78:2

His Name

Rev 19:13  and having been clothed in a garment which had been dipped in blood. And His name is called The Word of God.

The Hebrew word for heavens, is ‘shamayim’ which comes from the root word ‘shem’ (name).

Psa 8:1  To the chief musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David. O YHWH, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth; You have set Your glory above the heavens!

Keil & Delitzsch commentary on Psalm 8:1

Psa 8:1-2
(Heb.: 8:2-3) Here, for the first time, the subject speaking in the Psalm is not one individual, but a number of persons; and who should they be but the church of Jahve, which (as in Neh_10:30) can call Jahve its Lord (אֲדֹנֵינוּ, like אֲדֹנָי from אֲדֹנִים plur. excellentiae, Ges. §108, 2); but knowing also at the same time that what it has become by grace it is called to be for the good of the whole earth? The שֵׁם of God is the impress (cognate Arabic wasm, a sign, Greek σῆμα) of His nature, which we see in His works of creation and His acts of salvation, a nature which can only be known from this visible and comprehensible representation (nomen = gnomen).

Heaven on earth

Stars

Gen 15:5  And He brought him outside and said, Look now at the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

Gen 15:6  And he believed in YHWH. And He counted it to him for righteousness.
Gen 22:16  And He said, I have sworn by Myself, declares YHWH, that on account of this thing you have done, and have not withheld your son, your only son,
Gen 22:17  that blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed
as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the shore of the sea. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies.
Gen 22:18  And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed My voice.
Gen 26:4  And I will increase your seed
like the stars of the heavens, and I will give to your seed all these lands. And all the nations of the earth shall bless themselves in your Seed,

Deu 1:10  YHWH your God has multiplied you, and, behold, today you are as the stars of heaven for multitude.
Exo 12:37  And the sons of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, the men being
about six hundred thousand on foot, apart from little ones.
Exo 12:38  And also a mixed multitude went up with them, and flocks, and herds, very many livestock.

Heavenly bodies = hosts/armies

Gen 2:1  Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

Psa 33:6  By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Exo 7:4  And Pharaoh will not listen to you. And I will put My hand on Egypt, and will bring My armies, My people, the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt with great judgments.

Exo 12:51  And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

Adam Clarke
By their armies – צבאתם  tsibotham, from צבא  tsaba, to assemble, meet together, in an orderly or regulated manner, and hence to war, to act together as troops in battle; whence צבאות  tsebaoth, troops, armies, hosts. It is from this that the Divine Being calls himself יהוה צבאות  Yehovah tsebaoth, the Lord Of Hosts or armies, because the Israelites were brought out of Egypt under his direction, marshalled and ordered by himself, guided by his wisdom, supported by his providence, and protected by his might. This is the true and simple reason why God is so frequently styled in Scripture the Lord of hosts; for the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their Armies.

Yahshua is YHWH tsevaot

Jos 5:14  And He said, No, for I now come as the Commander of the army of YHWH. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped. And he said to Him, What does my Lord speak to His slave?
Isa 55:4  Behold, I gave Him a Witness to peoples, a Leader and Commander of peoples.

Rev 19:11  And I saw Heaven being opened. And, behold! A white horse, and He sitting on it having been called Faithful and True. And He judges and wars in righteousness.
Rev 19:12  And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head many diadems, having a name that had been written, which no one knows except Himself;
Rev 19:13  and having been clothed in a garment which had been dipped in blood. And His name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  And the armies in Heaven followed Him on white horses, being dressed in fine linen, white and pure.

The Camp of Yisrael

Num 2:2  The sons of Israel shall encamp by their fathers’ house, every man with his own standard, according to the standards. They shall encamp around the tabernacle of the congregation, afar off.
Num 2:3  And those who encamp on the east side, toward the sunrising, are of the standard of Judah’s camp,
according to their armies, the ruler of the sons of Judah being Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

Num 2:9  All numbered of the camp of Judah were a hundred and eighty six thousand and four hundred, by their armies. They shall set forth first.
Num 2:10  On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben,
according to their armies; the ruler of the sons of Reuben being Elizur the son of Shedeur.
Num 2:18  On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim,
according to their armies; the ruler of the sons of Ephraim being Elishama the son of Ammihud.

Num 2:25  On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan, according to their armies; the ruler of the sons of Dan being Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

The Camp of Yisrael was divided up as the 12 constellations

Standards of the Tribes

According to rabbinical tradition, the standard of Judah bore the figure of a lion, that of Reuben the likeness of a man, or of a man’s head, that of Ephraim the figure of an ox, and that of Dan the figure of an eagle; so that the four living creatures united in the cherubic forms described by Ezekiel were represented upon these four standards” (Keil and Delitzsch, Commentary on the Pentateuch, III, 17). A variant of this tradition gives as the standard of Reuben, “unstable as water” (Gen_49:4 the King James Version), a Man and a River, and of Dan, “Dan shall be a serpent in the way” (Gen_49:17), an Eagle and a Serpent. These four forms are also found in the constellations in the four quarters of the heavens. Aquarius, the man with a stream of water, and Leo were the original zodiacal constellations of the two solstices, Taurus was that of the spring equinox, and Aquila and Serpens were close to the autumnal equinox, the latter being actually upon the colure.

4 Living Creatures

Surrounding the throne of Elohim are the 4 living creatures which correspond to the 4 cardinal points of the zodiac and to the camp of Yisrael.

Eze 1:10  And the likeness of their faces: the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side to the four of them; and the face of an ox on the left to the four of them, and the face of an eagle to the four of them.

Rev 4:2  And at once I became in spirit. And, behold, a throne was set in Heaven, and One sitting on the throne.
Rev 4:3  And the One sitting was in appearance like a jasper stone, and a sardius; and a rainbow was around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.
Rev 4:4  And around the throne I saw twenty four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty four elders sitting, having been clothed in white garments. And they had golden crowns on their heads.
Rev 4:5  And out of the throne come forth lightnings and thunders and voices. And seven lamps of fire are burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;
Rev 4:6  and a glassy sea before the throne, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures, full of eyes before and behind.
Rev 4:7  And the first living creature was like a lion; and the second living creature like a calf; and the third living creature having a face like a man; and the fourth living creature like an eagle flying.
Rev 4:8  And the four living creatures each one had six wings around, and within being full of eyes. And they had no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,” the One who was, and is, and is coming!
Isa. 6:3
Rev 4:9  And whenever the living creatures shall give glory and honor and thanks to the One sitting on the throne, to the One living to the ages of the ages,
Rev 4:10  the twenty four elders fall down before Him sitting on the throne; and they will worship the One living to the ages of the ages, and will throw their crowns before the throne, saying,
Rev 4:11  Lord, You are worthy to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because You created all things, and through Your will they exist and were created.

Gospel/Word in the Heavens

Gen 1:14  And God said, Let luminaries be in the expanse of the heavens, to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years.

The signs of the heavens are a mark/reminder of the covenant with His people.

Jer 33:25  So says YHWH, If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of the heavens and earth,
Jer 33:26  then I also will reject the seed of Jacob, and My servant David, not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity and have pity on them.

It is YHWH that created the mazzaroth/constellations

Job 26:13  By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
Job 38:31  Can you bind the bands of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?
Job 38:32
Can you bring out the constellations in their season; or can you guide the Bear with its sons?
Job 38:33  Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

He has numbered & named the stars

Isa 40:26  Lift up your eyes on high and look: Who has created these? Who brings out their host by number? By greatness of vigor, and might of power, He calls them all by names; not one is lacking.

Psa 147:4  He appoints the number** of the stars; He calls to them all by names.
**The Hebrew word for number here is mispar from the root saphar which means a record/scroll.  Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew dictionary defines ‘mispar’ as a number or tale.  A tale is an account telling a story.  This is what the number of the stars does.  It tells the story of the Gospel.

Rom 10:17  Then faith is of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.
Rom 10:18  But I say, Did they not hear? Yes, rather, “into all the earth their voice went out, and to the ends of the world their words.”

The constellations tell the story of the gospel through the names of the stars (Isaiah 40:26; Psalm 147:4).  There are 12 constellations and 36 ‘decan’ constellations which further illustrate the meaning of the main mazzaroth.

VIRGO: Seed of the Woman, Desire of nations, Man of humiliation, becomes exalted Shepherd and Harvester.

LIBRA: The scales demand a price to be paid, Cross to endure, the Victim slain, a Crown purchased.

SCORPIO: A Conflict, Serpent’s coils, Struggle with the Enemy, the Evil Vanquisher.

SAGITTARIUS: The double-natured One triumphs as a Warrior, Pleases the Heavens, Builds fires of punishment, Casts down the Dragon.

CAPRICORNUS: Life comes from death, He’s the Arrow of God, Pierced, Springs up again in abundant life.

AQUARIUS: Life-waters from on High, Drinking the heavenly river, Delivering the Good News, Carrying the Cross over the earth.

PISCES: The Redeemer’s People multiplied, Supported and led by the Lamb, The Bride is exposed on earth, the Bridegroom is exalted.

ARIES: The Lamb is found worthy, the Bride is made ready, Satan is bound, the Breaker triumphs.

TAURUS: The conquering Ruler comes, the sublime Vanquisher, the great Judgment, the ruling Shepherd.

GEMINI: The Marriage of the Lamb, the Enemy is trodden down, the Prince comes in great Glory.

CANCER: The great Bride, the Church and Israel, are brought safely into the kingdom.

LEO: The Lion King is aroused for rending, the Serpent flees, the Bowl of Wrath is upon him, his Carcass is devoured.

As seen above, time is linked to the sun.

The word for hour is related to the sun

This comes from the root ‘שע’ which is a picture of a shepherd watching over his flock.  ‘Sha’ is also the root of the word Yeshua.

Further connecting to the Messiah, the letter dalet means a ‘door.’

Joh 10:7  Then Jesus again said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you that I am the door of the sheep.

The word for day is associated with the sun

The word for tomorrow is related to the sun

Another word relating time and the sun is “pa’am”

How does the rhythmic beating of a drum relate to the sun?  The human heartbeat.

At sunrise the sky appears red

This word comes from ‘dam’ meaning blood.

‘Dam’ literally means waters from the door.  As in the living waters that come forth from the Temple, or the living waters of blood that come forth from the heart.  The sun moving through the zodiac is also a picture of this.  Psalm 19 speaks of the sun following the path of the zodiac and coming forth from ‘his canopy’ representing the Temple.  A healthy heart pumps on average 72 times a minute, the sun moves a degree through the ecliptic every 72 years.  It seems that the beating of the human heart corresponds with the movement of the sun through the ecliptic.

http://davidpratt.info/pattern1.htm#p1

The ‘circle’ traced by the earth’s axis around the north ecliptic pole is not smooth but wavy, as the moon’s gravitational pull causes the earth to ‘nod’ about once every 18 years (currently 18.6 years), a movement known as nutation. The circle therefore contains about 1440 waves, since 18 x 1440 = 25,920. Note that the average human heartbeat is equal to 72 beats a minute, and on average we breathe about 18 times a minute. 72 years (= 6+60+6 or 6×12) is said to be the ‘ideal’ lifespan of a human being, during which time the sun moves through one degree of the zodiac in the precessional cycle. A human breathes 72 times in 4 minutes, the time required for the earth to turn 1 degree on its axis. In 24 hours (86,400 seconds) we breathe 18 x 1440 = 25,920 times, equal to the number of years in the precessional cycle.

According to the National Geographic’s ‘Incredible Human Machine’ it takes 72 muscles for man to speak.  The Hebrew word for time, עת, means to see the mark.  What is the mark?  It is when the sun rises directly east (qedem ‘sun of blood’) at the time of the tequphah which literally means the ‘sun speaks.’

According to Ecclesiastes 1:5-6, the sun moves upon the wind/ruach again linking to the blood which flows through the human body and the living waters which flow forth from the throne of Elohim.

Blood/DNA is further linked to the sun through the equinoxes (tequphot).  The word for ‘equinox’ in Hebrew is tequphah.  It literally means the mark of the sun.  At the Spring tequfah the sun is at 23 degrees in the Tropic of Cancer.  At the Autumn tequfah the sun is at 23 degrees in the Tropic of Capricorn.  23 +23 = 46.  46 is the number of chromosomes in the human body that stores our DNA.  The chromosome is also in the shape of a cross/tav.

The path of the sun through the zodiac comes from the following Hebrew word:

According to the Revelation 22:1-2, the river of life that comes forth from the throne of Elohim, is linked to 12 fruits of the tree of life.

The word for the constellations/zodiac in Hebrew is ‘mazzaroth’ which traces back to the Hebrew word nazar.

What was on the crown of the High Priest?  The sacred name of YHWH (Exodus 29:6; 39:30)  According to Josephus (Wars of the Jews Book 5 Chapter 5 Section 7) the sacred name consisted of 4 vowels which are pronounced with our breath.  The Hebrew word for ‘name,’ is ‘shem’ which means breath/wind.  It is the root for the word ‘shamayim’ which means heaven.  ‘Shem’ is also the root of the word ‘shemesh’ which means the sun.  Every breath we take we are proclaiming His Name.  Each breath we take brings oxygen into our lungs which brings life to our blood and to our cells.

Kenneth F. Doig, New Testament Chronology,

“Many of these legal documents include the required Egyptian civil year date. Double-dated documents including the Hebrew dates of the Elephantine Jews cover the period 471 to 402 BCE. This included evening to evening days and a New Year beginning in Nisan (Aviv) only after the Vernal Equinox. Almost all of the datable documents can be referred back to a Nisan (Aviv) beginning only after the Vernal Equinox each year.”

The Ancients understood the tekufah and the 365 day year.

Rabbi Adam Chalom – http://www.kolhadash.com

“tekufat Nisan and Tishrei [the “turning” of these two months], the sun rises and sets exactly in the middle of East and West – we would say, on the equinox. In fact, our terminology differentiates between solstice (longest or shortest day) and equinox (equal day and night), while the Talmud calls each event a tekufat in its particular month. And it defines the space between them as “91 days and 7.5 hours.” And if you do the math through 4 seasons, you reach 365 days and 6 hours, or the solar year under the Julian calendar (365 ¼ days, made even by a leap year every 4). We know today that the actual solar year is 365 days, 5 hours, 49 minutes (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_year), which is why in our Gregorian calendar there are exceptions to leap years for years divisible by 100 or 400, but not bad on the Talmud’s part!”

ENOCH lived 365 years and walked with Elohim

Gen 5:23  And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty five years.

Gen 5:24  And Enoch walked with God. Then he was not, for God took him.

As discussed previously, the word for mark is the Hebrew word אות, which has the meaning of an ox plowing towards a mark.  Being a disciple is linked with this meaning, as the Hebrew word for disciple (lamad) has the meaning of a younger ox being yoked to an older one.  The Biblical calendar and feasts/sabbaths were designed to keep man walking in the same path, in the footsteps of the Messiah (1John 2:6).  It is interesting to note that the movement of the heavenly bodies were made as signs (אות) as well.  It is no surprise then that Enoch, who is the first man who is described as walking with the Most High, would live 365 years, corresponding with the time it takes the earth to make one revolution (tekufah) around the sun.

Gen 5:24  And Enoch walked with God. Then he was not, for God took him.
The Hebrew word for ‘took’ here is ‘laqach.’  This word is in relation to marriage and the ‘rapture,’ the wedding supper.
The book of Hebrews describes this ‘taking’ of Enoch as a ‘Translation’

Heb 11:5  By faith “Enoch” was translated so as not to see death, and “was not found, because God translated him.” For before his translation, he had obtained witness to have been pleasing to God.

This word for translation (metatithēmi) is only used one other time in Scripture.

Col 1:13  who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
Col 1:14  in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of sins;
Col 1:15  who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all creation.

Noach also walked with Elohim and was found righteous (Genesis 7:1).  He was perfect in his generations.

Gen 6:9  These are the generations of Noah. Noah, a righteous man, had been perfected among his family (KJV generations). Noah walked with God.
The English word generation is related to genetics but this is not the true meaning of this verse.  Noah was not saved because of his DNA, this is the deception of the end.  Salvation via genetics.  The Hebrew word for generations/family above is דר (‘dor’) which means a revolution/cycle which is in perfect relation to the current section on the calendar and cycles of righteousness being linked to walking with Elohim.

Gen 7:1  And YHWH said to Noah, You and all your house come into the ark, for I have seen you righteous before Me in this generation.

Righteousness is only from HIM (Isaiah 54:17) the BRANCH.

Isa 60:21  And your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the earth forever, a branch of My planting, a work of My hands, to beautify Myself.

Rom 11:26  and so all Israel will be saved, even as it has been written, “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
Rom 11:27  And this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”Isa. 59:20, 21

We are justified through Messiah Yahshua by His grace.
Tit 3:7  that being justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Only through Messiah

We can’t be justified/made righteous by our obedience of Torah.  All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Elohim.  It is only through the forgiveness through Messiah that we can be made justified before Adonai YHWH.  The Torah is righteousness, not our attempts to keep it.  It is only when Messiah Yahshua (the living Torah) lives through us that we can be righteous for we then become living epistles in His image.

Act 13:38  Then let it be known to you, men, brothers, that through this One remission of sin is announced to you.

Gal 2:16  knowing that a man is not justified by works of Law, but that it is through faith in Jesus Christ (we also believed into Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of Law, because all flesh will not be justified by works of Law). Psa. 123:2
1Co 6:11  And some of you were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
Rom 8:28  But we know that to the ones loving God all things work together for good, to those being called according to purpose;
Rom 5:9  Much more then, being justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him.
Rom 3:19  But we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those within the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be under judgment to God.
Rom 3:20  Because by works of Law not one of all flesh will be justified before Him, for through Law is full knowledge of sin. Psa. 143:2
Rom 3:21  But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
Rom 3:22  even the righteousness of God through faith of Jesus Christ toward all and upon all those believing; for there is no difference,
Rom 3:23  for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Rom 3:24  being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus,
Rom 3:25  whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, as a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God,
Rom 3:26  for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, for His being just and justifying the one that is of the faith of Jesus.
Rom 3:27  Then where is the boasting? It was excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through a Law of faith.
Rom 3:28  Then we conclude a man to be justified by faith without works of Law.
Rom 3:29  Or is He the God of Jews only, and not also of the nations? Yes, of the nations also,
Rom 3:30  since it is one God who will justify circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Rom 3:31  Then is the Law annulled through faith? Let it not be! But we establish Law.
Rom 2:13  For not the hearers of the Law are just with God, but the doers of the Law shall be justified.

It is through our works that we show our faith in Messiah
Jas 2:21  Was not our father Abraham justified by works offering up his son Isaac on the altar? Gen. 22:9
Jas 2:22  You see that faith worked with his works; and out of the works the faith was made perfected.
Jas 2:23  And the Scripture was fulfilled, saying, “And Abraham believed God, and it was counted for righteousness to him;” and he was called, Friend of God. Gen. 15:6; Isa. 41:8
Jas 2:24  You see, then, that a man is justified out of works, and not out of faith only.
Jas 2:25  But in the same way Rahab the harlot was also justified out of works, having received the messengers, and sending them out by another way.

The wicked oppose righteousness
Act 13:10  he said, O son of the devil, full of all guile and of all cunning, hostile to all righteousness, will you not stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?

Those who oppose righteousness are sons of the devil. Messiah=righteousness.  Torah=righteousness.
1Jn 3:10  By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Everyone not practicing righteousness is not of God; also the one not loving his brother.

the Judgment
Act 17:31  because He set a day in which “He is going to judge the habitable world in righteousness,” by a Man whom He appointed; having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead. Psa. 9:8

Judged by the Word…Righteousness

Joh 12:48  The one who rejects Me and does not receive My Words has that judging him: the Word which I spoke, that will judge him in the last Day.

The subject of righteousness has been discussed in some length because it is relative to the calendar/feast cycle.  Walking with Messiah is Biblically defined as walking in cycles of righteousness.

Psa 23:3  He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Pro 2:15  whose paths (orach) are crooked who are devious* (turn to right or left – Deuteronomy 5:32; Joshua 1:7) in their tracks (ma’gal);

*The word here is ‘luz’ which is the same word used for the name of the place where Jacob saw the ladder ascending into heaven.  The place he named Bethel.  As discussed in previous studies, Rabbinic sources describe Luz as the human backbone which connects to the concept of the Kundalini spirit and the serpent rising up the spine to open up the ’3rd eye of enlightenement.’  Throughout the series of studies on the mark of the beastclick here,  it has also been shown that Kundalini is linked to the tree of knowledge.  Here we see the path of the wicked which leads to the mark of the beast.
Pro 2:16  these will deliver you from the strange woman, from the foreigner who flatters with her words,
Pro 2:17  who forsakes the guide (aluph – speaking of Teacher guiding a disciple) of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God. (This harlot is in reference to false Israelclick here Ezekiel 16:59-60; Malachi 2:14-16)

Psa 17:4  As to the doings of men, by the Words of Your lips I keep from the paths (orach) of the violent.

ארח comes from the root רח, which means a prescribed path.  This is the word used in reference to the movement of the sun, moon, and stars from East to West each day.

Psa 17:5  My steps have kept in Your tracks (ma’gal) so that my strides (pa’am) have not slipped (mat).

The word for slip/slide comes from the Hebrew word מט which has the meaning of a green branch which is flexible.  Yokes were taken from green branches, shaped and then left to dry.  When we slip, or our branches begin to bend in the wrong direction, YHWH comes to our rescue and supports us before we break off of the vine (Messiah) and fall to the ground to dry out, wither, die and then be cast into the fire.  The green branch remains alive because it is connected to its source and contains water.  If we bend too far with the world and compromise too much, we run the risk of being broken altogether and falling from our source of life.

Walking in His paths, that we be not bent/conformed to this world (this is referring to the feasts and the cycles of righteousness that are given to us by the Most High so that we learn to walk in His ways so that it becomes second nature to us.  When we get in ruts of righteousness, it is hard for us to leave those tracks/paths for the ways of the world.  If we are walking/yoked with the Messiah, it will be a painful experience if we begin to conform to the world (bend/slip) because we are going to be quickly goaded(corrected) by our Master.  It is better for us to experience chastisement quickly so that we are corrected and walk in His ways than to be chastised with everlasting fire.

Interestingly, the word צמד ‘tsamad’ also comes from the root מט ‘mot.’  ‘Tsamad’ means to join together, to yoke together.  This is the word used when Yisrael joined (tsamad) Ba’al Peor and ate sacrifices of the dead (Numbers 25).  Here we see Yisrael, due to their hard hearts, rebelling against being yoke with YHWH and keeping of His Torah (feasts, paths) to be yoked with a false god and the false feasts associated with worship of that god.

The Pythagorean Triangle pg 235-236
“It is the opinion of Mr. Faber, whose learning and extensive researches into the hidden mysteries of antiquity are entitled to universal respect, that in the Book of Revelation ‘an important prophecy is most curiously and artfully veiled under the very language and imagery of the Orgies.  To the sea-born Great Father was ascribed a threefold state:  he lived, he died, and he revived;  these changes of condition were duly exhibited in the mysteries.  To the sea-born wild beast is similarly ascribed a threefold state:  he lives, he dies, and he revives.  While dead, he lies floating on the mighty ocean, just like Horus, or Osiris, Siva or Vishnu; when he revives, again like those kindred deities, he emerges from the waves; andwhether dead or alive, he bears seven heads and ten horns, corresponding in number with the seven art-preserved Rishis, and the ten aboriginal patriarchs.  Nor is this all; as the worshippers of the Great Father bore his special mark or stigma, and were distinguished by his name, so the worshippers of the maritime beast equally bear his mark, and are equally designated by his appellation.’ (From Fab. Pag. Idol, vol iii. pg 643.)

If this be true, and the arguments adduced in its support appear sound and conclusive, the above mystical ceremony of sealing the redeemed may be taken from the custom of marking the aspirant with a permanent badge of initiation, which may be an indelible token of his acceptance.  This mark or badge in India and Egypt was the Tautic Crossclick here; and it still appears amongst the hieroglyphics of the Brahmins, and profusely on the monuments of Egypt, where most of the deities bear it conspicuously about their persons.  In the Dionysiaca, or the mysteries of Bacchus, the mark was a leaf of the ivy or vineclick here.  There is  a pointed reference to it in the divine command given to Moses in the wilderness, when many of the Israelites had been initiated into the disgusting mysteries of Baalpeor:  ‘Take all the heads of the people and hang them up;’  referring to the princes of the tribes, who were directed to hang all those who had been thus initiated.  Boothroyd translates the original thus: ‘Take all the heads of the people, and let them slay those men who have worn the badges of Baal-peor.”

Num 25:1  And Israel lived in Shittim. And the people began to fornicate with the daughters of Moab.
Num 25:2  And they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods. And the people ate and bowed themselves to their gods.
Num 25:3  And Israel was joined* to Baal-peor, and the anger of YHWH burned against Israel.
Num 25:4  And YHWH said to Moses, Take all the leaders of the people and hang them up to YHWH before the sun, that the fierce anger of YHWH may be turned away from Israel.
Num 25:5  And Moses said to the judges of Israel, Each one of you kill his men, those who joined to Baal-peor. (Baal = Saturnclick here)

*the word translated as ‘joined’ in verse 3 is from the Hebrew ‘tsamad’ which means a bracelet, used in specific to a man and woman in marriage (Genesis 24:22; Ezekiel 16:11).  It also refers to the yoke.  We can be yoked to Messiah, or yoked to the antichrist.  Tsamad also is pictured by the frame of a building being fit together to form a house.  We can partake of the Wedding supper of the Lamb, or the feast of the beast.  We can members of the body of Messiah, or the body of antichrist.  It is our choice.

In conclusion:

Paul in Philippians 2  sums up the concept of unity.  We are to strive for unity IN Messiah by putting on His Mind.  We as individuals are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).  We must seek His Will which is His Word and follow it.  If that means we aren’t a part of the larger group then so be it for TRUE unity is only found in Messiah, not in agreements of men.  If we seek His will/Word and not our own, then it is YHWH who is working in us to lead us into maturity/perfection.  We are all at different levels in our walks with Him and we all see through a glass darkly.  If we seek His Word/Truth in Love then we are on the right path (Proverbs 4:18; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 2:15).

Pro 4:18  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect {כון} day.

Php 2:1  So then, if there is any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tendernesses and compassions,
Php 2:2  fulfill my joy, that you think the same, having the same love, one in soul, minding the one thing,
Php 2:3  doing nothing according to party spirit or self-glory, but in humility, esteeming one another as surpassing themselves;
Php 2:4  each not looking at the things of themselves, but each also the things of others.
Php 2:5  For think this within you, which mind was also in Christ Jesus,
Php 2:6  who subsisting in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God,
Php 2:7  but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeness of men
Php 2:8  and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient until death, even the death of a cross.
Php 2:9  Because of this also God highly exalted Him and gave Him a name above every name,
Php 2:10  that at the name of Jesus “every knee should bow,” of heavenly ones, and earthly ones, and ones under the earth,
Php 2:11  and “every tongue should confess” that Jesus Christ is “Lord,” to the glory of God the Father. Isa. 45:23
Php 2:12  So, then, my beloved, even as you always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much rather in my absence, cultivate your salvation (KJV work out your own salvation} with fear and trembling,

Php 2:13  for it is God who is working in you both to will and to work for the sake of His good pleasure.
Php 2:14  Do all things without murmurings and disputings,
Php 2:15  that you may be blameless and harmless, children of God, without fault in the midst of a crooked generation, even having been perverted, among whom you shine as luminaries in the world,
Php 2:16  holding up the Word of Life, for a boast to me in the day of Christ, that I ran not in vain, nor labored in vain.

1Co 13:4  Love has patience, is kind; love is not envious; love is not vain, is not puffed up;
1Co 13:5  does not behave indecently, does not pursue its own things, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;
1Co 13:6  does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth.
1Co 13:7  Love quietly covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1Co 13:8  Love never fails. But if there are prophecies, they will be caused to cease; if tongues, they shall cease; if knowledge, it will be caused to cease.
1Co 13:9  For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
1Co 13:10  but when the perfect thing comes, then that which is in part will be caused to cease.
1Co 13:11  When I was an infant, I spoke as an infant, I thought as an infant, I reasoned as an infant. But when I became a man, I caused to cease the things of the infant.
1Co 13:12  For now we see through a mirror in dimness, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will fully know even as I also was fully known.

1Co 13:13  And now faith, hope, and love, these three things remain; but the greatest of these is love.
